We had a great few days - canoeing and cycling - a great area to visit, and some tremendous pubs too.
The property was perfect. Warm, cosy - really well equipped and extremely comfortable.
Lovely modern cottage
A lovely clean modern cottage, with plenty of space for families. In the beautiful village of Tideswell in the stunning Peak District, with plenty of places to visit and things to do.
Perfect for a Peaks Retreat!
A lovely home in an ideal location. The house was recently refurbed and well equipped for a comfortable stay. Tideswell as a village has all you need (and more!) and of course offers stunning walks and cycle rides from your door!
Well equipped house in a great location
Really fab house, clean and modern with all you need for a great stay. Such a great location. Only problem for us was the heat at the top of the house but the heatwave couldn't be helped. Perhaps a fan in the top room would be a good addition. Didn't spoil our fun though..
Comfortable cottage in good location. 3 adults and 3 children for short break.
Mostly well equipped and comfortable cottage in a good location. Kitchen well equipped. Plenty of comfortable seating. Good showers and comfortable beds. Good amount of space and three bathrooms a definite bonus.
A few points to note. The attic bedroom has only one small velux window so is dark and hot. A second key would have been useful as we had to make sure we all came and went at the same time. Also information about bin collection as the rubbish bin was too full from the previous guests to get our rubbish in when we left. There are stair gates which are a slight hazard. The church clock chimes through the night which could disturb a light sleeper. If you have babies or toddlers sleeping in the first floor bedrooms who need a dark room, take a temporary blackout blind as the curtains let a lot of light through.
A few additional items would improve the comfort- mirrors and bins in the bedrooms and a cafeteria. Also perhaps a few books, games and more DVDs.
Unfortunately the WiFi router was not working and the alternative mobile network free data allowance was inadequate for the mobile devices we had.
The kettle stopped working but it was replaced within a few hours of us reporting it.
Overall the cottage met our needs and we enjoyed our stay in a lovely location for getting out and about.
Great cottage in lovely village with shops and pubs
Great location for walking. Fantastic village which is good for kids because of the park across the road. Lovely cottage on three floors, very clean and with a good garden for barbecues and sitting out. TV and DVD player in case it rains!
