About the property

A warm and quiet retreat, but please note changeover not Sunday.

An outside staircase leads to Flat 11, "Loughrigg". Inside the entrance hall leads to an open plan Iiving area with a picture window overlooking private grounds.

There are comfy sofas, a Smart LED TV for Netflix, YouTube, BBC IPlayer etc. There is a DVD player and a small selection of DVD's.There is also free unlimited Wifi.

Changeover day: any day but Sunday.

The kitchen area is fully fitted with cupboards, kettle, toaster, fridge, small freezer, sink, dishwasher and washing machine. There is an electric oven with induction hob also a microwave oven.

The main bedroom has a king size bed whilst the second bedroom has twin beds. Each has a wardrobe and chest of drawers.

The bathroom has an electric shower over the bath, washbasin and WC.

All rooms have wall heaters.

This is a 'much-loved family bolt-hole' which we hope you will find is a home from home. There is shared use of a small communal swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, open from March to second weekend in November. Also available in the Leisure Centre are washing machines, drying machines, table tennis and a collection of DVD's books and tourist information.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings for people with pets.

During the High Season, week long bookings must start on a Saturday. Please check with us for shorter bookings.

We are a retired couple who enjoy walking in the Lake District. Whilst we are not lucky enough to live in the Lake District, our cleaner lives in Ambleside and has looked after a number of the flats in the complex for many years.

We fell in love with both the flat, the estate and the surrounding hills. You really can leave the car in the car park and just walk for hours from the estate in any direction. And for children, the Leisure building is a great way to burn off energy in the pool or playing table tennis.

Such a lovely cozy apartment, we really loved it and such fantastic surroundings. We will return!

We really enjoyed staying at this apartment it was perfect for me, my husband and two teenage children. It was in such a fantastic setting and so quiet we could sleep very well. It was very clean and had lovely touches like milk and biscuits on arrival! We could go on walks from our doorstep which was fantastic we really didn't use the car! And having a pub only 10 mins walk away was great as I didn't have to cook every night. Over all it was a very lovely week in a beautiful place. Thank you.

Spot on.

Sheltered balcony suited my sun shy friend, though I would have prefered the mature trees to be slightly trimmed to allow in full sun. Excellent welcome message, first time I've had to count speed bumps coming in, but the car park was very close and big enough for our estate car. The food in the pub kept us going nicely as did Chester's, though neither of us ran up the hill. 25% was a bit steep when I was there for the Brathay Marathon, though walking to and from Brathay Hall on either side of that stopped my legs being too stiff the next day. Did spot one red squirrel, which was very camera shy. Lovely area, lovely apartment, and lovely biscuits.

Lovely stay

A great flat, v well equipped

The location is excellent for walking around grassmere, Ambleside, the langdales etc. Except for a trip to the supermarket we left the car at the flat and did all our outings on foot. Lovely part of the world, we’ll be back next year!
