The National Maritime Museum is located in Events Square and overlooks the prestigious marina and harbour.Take the "Park and Float", a water taxi or small ferry from Penryn to nearby St Mawes, Flushing or the scenic River Helford and creeks. Pendennis Castle stands proud on the headland overlooking its twin, St Mawes Castle, on the opposite side of the estuary, both built during the reign of Henry VIII to oversee the important waterways of the Fal Estuary.
