A Beautiful, cosy well appointed Cottage just outside historic Conwy Castle wall

Bedrooms 1
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 2 - 7 nights

About the property

Newly Renovated.

Charming cottage just 3 mins walk from Conwy centre, pretty harbour and many restaurants and pubs. The cottage boasts a lovely lounge with log burner, smart TV, wifi, cd/dab radio with Bluetooth and pairing. A tastefully fitted kitchen diner with washing machine and dishwasher. Upstairs ( narrow stairs original to cottage) is a bedroom with comfortable Kingsize bed with luxury feather and down quilt and en-suite bathroom that has a wonderful flood head shower. Outside is a delightful and peaceful walled garden with a raised decking area and comfortable rattan patio furniture.

We are lucky in that our road is very close to Conwy centre but is not used for parking by day tourists so we can nearly always get a parking space.

The cottage is ideally placed to explore the many attractions and activities of this wonderful area. There are plenty of walks accessed from the cottage, Conwy mountain trail just 10min walk away. Within easy reach is Bodnant Gardens, LLandudno and the Great Orme cable car .

30 mins drive gains you acces to Anglesey, Snowdon, Betws-y-coed, Caernarfon, Zip world with the worlds fastest zip line 1 mile long.

This is the perfect cottage for relaxing and unwinding.

If the bedroom gets too warm there is a flat sheet in the wardrobe to use with the throw if required.

No smoking or pets...Sorry.

Lovely wee cottage in a delightful village

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was absolutely perfect for my girlfriend and I. It is modern and has everything one needs for a fulfilling stay in the lovely North Wales village of Conwy. The kitchen is really well done, living room has a nice big tv, music and Blu-ray player and wood burner for those chilly Welsh winters. Parking is for residents only (permit available for those who are staying in the cottage) and we didn’t have any trouble getting a space (although it is tight there shouldn’t be any issues for anyone).

The village is a very short walk away and is filled with cafes, restaurants and pubs. Travelling to areas of interest is simple (e.g. Bangor, Llandudno, Anglesey, Snowdonia and Caernarfon) we drove to all these areas however there seems to be regular buses and trains to all. Conwy train station is about 5 mins walk and llandudno junction station about 25-30 mins.

In summary I have too many platitudes for Mark and Linda’s cottage, I would happily stay again and have recommended my parents stay here.

Cozy, nicely remodeled, close to city walls and High Street

  • 4 of 5

Overall the cottage was charming and the updated interior was clean and felt very new. We enjoyed a meal on the deck and the kitchen was well outfitted with excellent appliances. The bed was comfy and the shower excellent. We would have given five stars except for the stairs. The narrowness of the stairs is mentioned in the description. It is very important to be extremely careful to avoid a fall which, unfortunately, happened to us. If this had not happened we would have given five stars.

Owner's Response: We were really sorry to hear of your fall. You are right, people do need to take care when descending any steps, especially the stairs in the cottage as they are narrow, being original from the late 1800s when the cottage was built. (We think the fishermen in Conwy must have been quite small in the 1800s). We are so glad you enjoyed your stay despite your misfortune and still felt able to give us a good review. Thankyou Best Regards Mark and Linda

Great weekend at Marlin Cottage.

  • 5 of 5

A very cosy, comfortable and extremely well equipped cottage in a convenient and quiet location.

It was a real bonus receiving a text to confirm the cottage would be available from midday on arrival rather than the advertised time, effectively giving us an extra half day's holiday.

Other nice touches touches included complimentary Welsh Cakes, tea, coffee, sugar and milk.

We were lucky with the weather and were therefore able to make full use of the garden and deck, which is a real sun trap.

We even saw Drew Pritchard from Salvage Hunters in the flesh!!

All in all an excellent break.

Perfect place for a couple

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful cottage located close to centre of town but also able to go hiking direct without needing to drive.

All amenities you will need are provided including some helpful info on the local area. Conwy town itself is a lovely place to base yourself with good restaurants and sites plus great access to the beautiful mountains and coast.

Highly recommended.
