We invite you to our lovely home with terraces, sea view and close to amenities

Nestled on the perimeter of the La Safor mountains, surrounded by orange groves, 15 minutes drive by car to the beautiful Blue flag beaches and the award winning beach of Gandia Platja, 12 minutes to the city of Gandia with its shops, restaurants and cafes

An ideal house to relax and explore this area of Spain with easy access to the main AP7 motorway.

The town of Palma de Gandia has everything you will need if you dont want to go to the city, banks, pharmacy, supermarket, bakery, butchers etc, are all within 8 minutes walk, and excellent local busses to take you further afield.

Two community (Public) swimming pools/sports complex are within 8 minutes walk (cost not included in rental price) - approx 5€ per person per day, or discounted family ticket. There are numerous childrens play areas.

The house is cosy and well equipped with 2 large terraces for sunbathing and relaxing, with wonderful views of the mountains and the sea.

Please note, this property is suitable for FAMILIES and we are sorry but we discourage rentals to groups of only Boys or only Girls.

We are family people, we love spending time with our 3 grown up children and our grand daughter. We have been together for nearly 30 years and live in Cheam in Surrey, UK, we have always had a dream of owning a property in Spain and the dream is now a reality!

Why Anne Cannon chose Palma de Gandia

When we first viewed this property it stunned us with the amount of living room and outside space available and we knew straight away that this was the holiday home we had always wanted.

Set in a traditional Spanish working town we were pleasantly surprised at how much is available on your doorstep, with beaches and the main City only a 10 or 15 minute drive away it is the ideal property.

What makes this house unique

The property is approx 150 years old with many original features like the fabulous double Valencian style front door, this had to be wide enough in days gone by for the livestock and your donkey to enter the property, livestock lived on the lower level and people on the upper level!

Totally refurbished but still retaining the charm of a proper Valencian townhouse with access to beautiful terraces and a sea view, high ceilings and stunning tiled floors make this a perfect retreat for family holidays.

The many fiestas and processions that go through the old town streets pass right by the property and the Juliet balcony at the front of the property allows you to have a fantastic view of all the spectacular celebrations.

With a local butcher, greengrocer and bakery within 2 or 3 minutes walk, the winding old town streets hold many surprises, piazzas with little coffee shops, beautiful church, spring water fountains, and then the main street which has a mixture of old and modern buildings with all the amenities that you could want. Supermarkets, bars, restaurants, bank, pharmacy, medical centre etc etc

Staying at our house you would not need to venture further afield for anything

Truly amazing house

The house was everything and more than we could possibly have anticipated. A welcome pack awaited us with all the essentials you would need if you arrived late and was unable to shop until the following day. It was roomy inside, plenty of outside space on three levels, beautiful views. The kitchen had every cooking implement you could require. We especially loved the paella pan! We stayed 11th Feb to 11th March so when we first arrived the weather was pleasant but quite cool in the evening so we lit the large wood burner which made for a lovely warm cosy ground floor. The weather for the remaining three weeks just got better and better with temperatures in the 30's when we left. Not the norm I'm sure at this time of year. The town of Palma de Gandia had all the basic requirements you could need. It was very central for exploring this part of Spain and there are many beautiful places to visit. Don't miss the Castle in Xativa. Sensational views. We had an amazing stay and would recommend the house without any hesitation. Also, thanks to the owner Anne for her warm welcome and advice during our stay. Gill and Barry

Für 8 Personen gut geeignet , vor allem für große Familien. Eine nette Nachbarschaft.

Eine tolle Lage im Dorf, liebevolle Details, kleinere Schwächen bei elektrischen Geräten. Buchung ist zu empfehlen. Das Haus ist ausreichend mit Geschirr ausgestattet. Reinigungs- und Geschirrspümittel waren vorhanden, so dass wir nichts einkaufen mussten.

Durch die vielen Räume und Terrassen gab es schöne Rückzugsmöglichkeiten.

Wir haben eine schöne Zeit dort verbracht.

Grande maison très bien équipée

Grande maison de bourg sur trois niveaux pouvant accueillir 8 personnes.

Le patio et les 2 terrasses sont très agréables.

Le logement est très bien équipé.

La grande plage de Gandia est à moins de 20 minutes. Allez aussi à Oliva et Denia un peu plus loin et plus au sud pour davantage de calme et leur côté plus typique et sauvage.

Anne la propriétaire est toujours disponible et répond vite aux questions.

Nous avons passé deux semaines superbes fin juillet début août.

Amis Nordistes, attention aux très fortes chaleurs !

Située à 15 / 20 minutes des plages de Gandía.

Anne, la propriétaire, est très facile à joindre et répond très vite aux questions.

How to get to Palma de Gandia?

By Car:

From Valencia follow the E15/ AP7 towards Alicante, take exit 60 sign posted Gandia, follow signs for the N332 signposted to Alicante exit CV686/CV60. Follow this road over several roundabouts cross over CV60 and head to road CV685 signposted Villalonga/Palma de Gandia. The town of Palma is located on the right hand side. Time approx. 55 minutes. Bus from Valencia to Gandia and at Gandia station change for the local bus to Palma de Gandia. Train from Valencia to Gandia and at the station change to bus to Gandia.

By Car:

From Alicante Airport follow the A7 and take exit 813 onto the N340/CV615 towards Gandia then get onto the CV60 towards Gandia towards the end of this road you need to head for the CV685 signposted Villalonga/Palma de Gandia. The town of Palma is located on the right hand side. Time approx. 1hour 10 minutes. Bus from Alicante to Gandia and change at station to local bus to Palma de Gandia.


Post office, bars, butchers, restaurants, community swimming pool, doctors, dentist, paddle courts, bakers, library and in the neighbouring village of Ador other amenities can be found. The traditional Spanish village of Palma de Gandia is situated on the Costa del Azahar which lies on the northern tip of the Costa Blanca. The area is almost completely covered with lush orange groves, with a stunning backdrop of the Safor Mountains. The region enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate, with refreshing sea breezes taking the edge off the hot Spanish summers. Due to the golden sands that stretch all along this coastline, there are numerous beaches to choose from. Many have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag award as a result of both clean water and facilities available. Beaches are approximately 10 minutes’ drive away with a super choice of activities from wind or kite surfing, kayaking, canoeing, snorkelling, sailing or for the more relaxing lifestyle of sunbathing. In the summer months there are sunbeds and shades to hire and pop up bars along the coastline various beaches include, Gandia, Daimús, Miramar, Bellreguard and Piles. Some of these beaches have access for wheelchair users and most are populated by the Spanish. So if you are looking for a Spanish holiday or way of life this is a perfect location. The main city of the Safor region is Gandia, a thriving, historical, coastal city, popular with Spanish tourists. Here you will find a variety of great shopping areas, shopping centres, street cafes and restaurants as well as range of nightlife in the nearby Gandia Playa.

BEACHES Fabulous beaches along the coastline they say there are approximately 120km of BLUE FLAG BEACHES, which is great as there is a beach for everyone. The hustle and bustle of Gandia beaches lined with restaurants, gift shops, and pretty much everything you can think of. A great day for the family as the beaches are golden, the waters are shallow and if you have older children there is plenty for them to do too. This is a very traditional Spanish holiday destination so don’t forget the dictionary if your Spanish is not brilliant. However the other interesting thing about Gandia is they use a lot of Valenciano so if you see something on the menu that is not in the dictionary it could be another language. If you are looking for a more cosmopolitan location just head 20km south and you will find Denia. Fiestas Main fiestas are in August, the last week of the month where local celebrate together and choose a local queen for the year for this festivity. Saturday they present the chosen queen in the town, Sunday is the celebration for Els sants de la Pedra, Monday San Cristóbal, Tuesday Divina Aurora, Wednesday Sant Miquel and Thrusday el Cristo de la Salud. So it’s a very busy week with many celebrations going on.

Close to Oliva with its fantastic fresh fruit and veg market, Denia and Javea which are only a short drive away with stunning beaches, historic castles and the bustling Benidorm with all its tourist attractions are all within easy drive
