Great location

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of four, with two kids aged 9 and 12 at the time of the stay. The location of the apartment was perfect. We loved the view of the Arno, but also being right next to the Ponte Vecchia meant that it was easy to get anywhere. The grocery store directly across the street also allowed us to pick up a few supplies. We found Florence (or at least the areas we were in) to be quite expensive, so it was nice having access to groceries to help reduce costs. The only negative that we encountered was a lack of a clothes drying rack. We had booked this apartment for the washing machine (it was mid-way through our trip, and a good time to do a bit of laundry), but we had a hard time drying some of the clothes. A small drying rack would have helped a great deal. Despite that small thing, this was our favourite apartment/hotel of our 2-week trip to Italy.

Great view and location, but...

  • 4 of 5

The apartment is in a wonderful location with an amazing view, but throughout our stay there was construction going on right in front. One day, we had no gas or hot water. The place nees some TLC. There was a leak under the bathroom sink, the shower fixture is coming loose from the wall, the fridge is questionable and there are cracks in some windows. That aside, we loved the view and location and enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location! Great views!

  • 4 of 5

Well situated in the heart of Florence with water, bell tower and ponte vecchio views from bedroom and living room! Apartment could use a little freshening up as it has been well used but the apartment had everything you could think of to stay comfortably. Located just across the street is a great supermarket where we bought our water, wine, fruits and cheeses to enjoy w the living room window wide open to the beautiful views and music lilting through the apartment! The wifi worked well and the owners were very kind in offering to make reservations for us for the most delicious non tourist trattorias!! A wonderful experience!!

Great location, tine unit

  • 5 of 5

If you want to be in the middle of the action in Florence stay here. Literally on the edge of the Ponte Vecchio bridge overlooking the Arno River. Big pluses; location, great layout, amazingly quiet at night for its location. living room and bedroom face the river, entry, kitchen and bath face the street.

Could be better; more TP, paper towels, soap for dishwasher, soap and shampoo for shower. There was soap for clothes washer, which worked fine.

Kitchen is tiny, but works for basics. Bath is a bit odd but also works fine. Bed is comfortable. Living room doubles as dining area. Wifi was good, no clue about TV, we never turned it on.

Florence over Easter was a challenge. We are not found of big crowds, and were they big on Easter Sunday, also the first Sunday of the month when museums are free, and the national holiday on Monday after Easter. When crowds were smaller we really liked Florence.

We would stay there again, but not during a holiday period.

Perfect location with amazing view!

  • 5 of 5

This place was great! We could hear live music from the Ponte Vecchio during the evening. It is a very spacious apartment with a working elevator albeit small. The kitchen is tiny too but has everything you need. The master bathroom is very nice. The picture is very accurate. Great water pressure which was a welcome surprise. We were there at the end of August. It was incredibly hot during that time period. We were very happy to have an A/C unit in the master bath and a pedestal floor fan in the living room. We should have brought bug spray but learned the hard way by itching ourselves awake first morning. Luckily, or strategically, there is a grocery store across the street. There are almost no grocery stores anywhere near Florence's city center. So we were able to get some bug spay. Washer also was a nice amenity. The most appreciated amenity was the management company. They were super responsive and did everything they could to accommodate our stay, especially at check in. I can't tell you how nice it is to have a group of people go the extra mile for you when you are so far from home. You are close to all major attractions here. You can see the Uffizi from the dining room and bedroom. The Duomo is a 5 min walk while the furthest thing away, the Galleria dell'Accademia, is only a 15 min walk. Great restaurants and wine bars nearby too.

This was one of our favorite places to stay while in Italy. We stayed in hotels in Rome and Cinque Terre, which were nice, but this place has a charm all its own! I would definitely come back.

A secret nest in Florence, right on the Arno

  • 5 of 5

This apartment sits astride the Ponte Vecchio (actually shares a wall, the bridge is right there), on the sweet Via dei Bardi on the Oltrarno side, looking across the river at the Uffizi. The location is quiet at night, away from the tourist frenzy, with lots of good restaurants nearby, a well-stocked market across the street, good bakery and cheese shop up a side street, and all of Florence walkable from the apartment.

We loved the bucolic Tuscan countryside mural painted in the living room, and opening the windows each morning to look out across the Arno. The elevator was welcome as the apartment is on the 3rd floor. The apartment had everything we needed: the kitchen is teensy, the bathroom is opulent (loved that tub, with a casement window that opened), the bed very comfortable, good wifi, comfortable chairs and couches and a good solid dining table, overall a good size for a couple. The Florent Apartment team was efficient and professional and the pricing is fair. The only difficulty is finding the apartment the first time you approach it, as the number on Via Bardi is not where you expect it, but down a lovely courtyard. Our secret nest in Florence.
