Tom purchased this condo in 2014
Our family spent a delightful week in this lovely condo by the river in the Pearl District. To say the owner put a great deal of thought into providing everything you could need for a pleasant stay is an understatement! The condo is exactly as pictured on the website. It is beautifully decorated with a restful color scheme and quality furnishings. The location is convenient as well. Public transportation is near by, but walking to many attractions is easy. We will definitely recommend this condo to our friends and hope to return soon ourselves. Thanks Tom for making our Portland stay so enjoyable.
We come to Portland each year to see family for the holidays. We always host a dinner in our rented condo. This is the first year we stayed at this location although we usually stay somewhere in the Pearl. This condo was perfect. Plenty of room and well stocked for preparing a holiday dinner. It was extremely cold (beyond normal Portland cold) so we stayed in more than we normally would. The wonderful view made it nice to just sit and read all day. The only two things to be aware of, the furnace was having a hard time keeping up with the cold. This shouldn't be a problem under normal circumstances. I also recently had ankle surgery and the stairs are a little steep making them a bit of a challenge. But I highly recommend this location and hope we can return again next year.
Our third stay in this riverfront condo. Easy to walk or grab an inexpensive Lyft ride to anywhere. The birds, boats and trains are added features.
First of all, I would like to commend Tom the owner on the fast response and ease of transaction. The condo was just as pictured if not better. We had a car so I was relieved to have the dedicated parking space. We didn't need it much since we walked most places in downtown Portland. It's close to the Max, so if one didn't have a vehicle it would be easy to get around to other areas as well. We enjoyed hanging out on a Sunday morning watching the football, games, the trains go by, and the bridge go up for the ships! I am sure they prefer a longer rental, but we rented it for three days (at a higher price) and it was well worth it! Way better than a hotel! There is a small market (think mini-mart) across the parking lot, and a great little pizza/pub next-door to that...called the Rusty Nail I believe. Ask for the BLT Quesadilla - outstanding! All in all it was a great vacation rental, and our friends who have never rented from VRBO are now convinced this is the way to go!
It's not in the best area but the condo itself is very nice. It's exactly as pictured. We enjoyed watching the boat traffic on the river.
We've stayed in many rentals and this was by far the most well supplied as far as linens, paper products, soaps and detergents.
Also appreciated Tom's quick response to any questions we had.
We stayed here for 2 weeks to attend a conference at the Convention Center. The condo was very convenient with a 12-15 minute walk across the Steel Bridge. Loved being able to walk out the door and run on the path that was right there. Made daily runs much easier! The condo was just as pictured, very well decorated with very comfortable beds. I would have liked to have had a lamp over toward the glass doors in the living area. And, there was no full length mirror so I bought a cheap one at Target and left it there - probably would be nice to have it hung up. I drink iced green tea every morning and there wasn't a pitcher in the kitchen so I bought & left one of those as well. We had most everything else that we needed during out stay and we'd definitely stay here again if we find ourselves lucky enough to visit Portland again!
