Two bunks beds for children but with prior agreement with owner. (£10 per bunk for extra bedding. )

It is compact living but everything can move.

Ideal for couples exploring the Jurassic coast.

Or a small family wanting to escape for a break, it's very private.

Can walk to the beach down any of the paths from the road leading to the Pod in 5 minutes or to the village centre, where you find a selection of pubs and restaurants to choose from. A few shops including deli and village shop. Also some beautiful art galleries, bring your gold card for one!

Beer is an historic fishing village, and continues to thrive on fishing to this day. Fresh fish shop on the beach. Can't get fresher!

Take a boat out and catch your own. In fact the owner of the rental fishing boats lives next door to the Pod. So very easy to arrange.

The Jurassic coast is a beautiful place and The Escape Pod is central for access to it all. Walk the coast line direct from the pod. All year round.

For kids there is so much to do, with Pecorama 2 mins walk from the Pod, you can be sure to cover all weather situations.

The Pod itself is situated in a residential area and at the bottom of the owners garden, and the owners car is often parked down the side of the Pod,( but out of view)

The owners house overlooks the Pod and is always happy to help or provide you anything you may need during your stay.

Information pack with the pod to ensure you can know what you have locally and I am happy to answer any questions or offer suggestions.

About Louise Turley

I am a mum of two living up the garden from the Pod and on hand for any problems or help.

I have two polite children, who may play in the garden during your stay and on hand to help you with any information or requests too.

Why Louise Turley chose Beer

I built the Pod to hope to rent it out and let others enjoy the beauty spot I have made my home. My children love it already and are praying for not too many bookings...

It is a different style of glamping, but unique, peaceful, gorgeous countryside views, you can sometimes hear the waves at night and the birdsong in the morning.

It is ideal for walkers walking the Jurassic coast and for small families who enjoy the outdoor living.

East Devon is full of places to visit and things to do for all ages and abilities.

What makes this cabin unique

It has been completed with a high specification and I have tried to offer everything I would love to have....

There is only one, so ideal for a secluded getaway.

We absolutely loved the escape pod!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the pod with our 2 sons. It is plenty big enough for a family of 4 with younger children.

It is very well thought out and everything was included that we would need. Plus lots of personal touches which were great.

Beer is a beautiful place and we will definitely be visiting again 😁

Short break in Glamping pod

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 5 nights and had a fantastic time. Admittedly we had brilliant hot weather, but all the same the pod is just a great place to base yourself. The pod is modern, comfortable and and really helps you to switch off. It is in a very peaceful spot and only a 10 minute walk (downhill) into beer and the lovely pebble beach.

Another relaxing break at The Escape Pod

  • 5 of 5

Having stayed here in September 2016 we decided to return. Yet again a wonderful cosy stay. We were blessed with fantastic weather so enjoyed leisurely days on the beach and evenings relaxing on the decking. Louise is always friendly and helpful but respects your privacy. Wished we’d booked for longer. Thanks again Louise for another lovely stay. We will be back

Cute, cosy, cat-lovers cabin!!

  • 4 of 5

Our stay in the pod was really fun! It was very clean and had all the facilities (and more!) that we needed for our short break. The location is quiet and really pretty: on a hillside in Beer, a small but scenic fishing village in Devon. During our stay we enjoyed a clifftop walk to Seaton Hole, where we went rockpooling, and had some great food in the restaurants in Beer. The highlight of the children's holiday was definitely the frequent visits from the owner's cat, Baggy, who proved to be a perfect playmate! I recommend the Escape Pod to either 2 adults or families with small children who want a relaxing, get-away-from-it-all break.

Wonderful Place!

  • 4 of 5

Can't really fault this place, very clean, built to very high standard. Small but we knew that when we booked. The only fault I would say is extra bedding and towels etc should be all included in the price. Nice location and views!

Beer Beach (5 mins walk)

The Pod is situated at the bottom of my garden, it is overlooked by my garden and house, so between me and my kids we are more than happy to help with anything you may need or wish to enquire about.

It is situated in a residential area with free parking (and my car is often parked down the side of the Pod out of view). The Pod offers views over some fields or often my neighbour tinkering on his fishing boats. (Please note it is not based on the beach or by the beach with a sea view.)

You are in the middle of the Jurassic Coast so much to see..

beaches, walks, local attractions for both adults and children.

Pecorama is 2mins walk from the house , perfect for children and hornby train lovers and lovely play area and stunning gardens. Many events here.

Beer beach is 5 mins walk away down any of the paths leading from the road outside, but being in East Devon you are so close to so many of the stunning beaches of Devon and Dorset.

Lyme Regis is on your doorstep, go fossil hunting...

or Sidmouth in the other direction, a stunning victorian beach town and beach.

Maybe you want to go The River Cottage from channel 4, only a 10 mins drive..... There is so much on your doorstep, its hard to know where to start....

From famous restaurants and chefs to the famous West Bay where many films are filmed....

to the stunning cathedral town of Exeter and beaches and see all along the way...

to cram in a trip to Creally Adventure park or Bicton Gardens....theres is simply something for everyone here.

Event the brand new Seaton Jurassic Centre, only 5 mins by car....

Happy to answer any queries.
