The flat with secure private entrance is on the ground floor of a 1880's Victorian terrace typical of the Archway/Upper Holloway area of North London. There is free WiFi available 24-7, but there is no television.

The flat consists of 3 rooms--a sitting room, a bedroom and a kitchen plus a bathroom. There is private access to the back garden through two sets of terrace doors. The sitting room contains two easy chairs and a sofa with a pull out hide-away bed. The bedroom contains a double bed, bedside table and a wardrobe with terrace doors that access the rear garden. Linens--towels, sheets and duvet covers--are provided. The fully-furnished kitchen includes a table with seating for 4 persons, a cooker, oven, microwave, refrigerator and washing machine. The bathroom, though small, has a toilet, sink, heated towel bar and a shower. The rear terrace doors of the kitchen also provide access to the rear garden available for your use.

The flat is ideal for a single person, a couple or three people using the hide-away bed. A visiting business person or scholar would find this accommodation an improvement over a standard London hotel room. The flat is non-smoking and we do not take pets. Gas central heat, controllable from within the flat, is available during the cold months.

The Living Room has 2 easy chairs and a Victorian-style fireplace. A couch is on the opposite wall. It turns into a pull-out bed. The bedroom with double bed adjoins the sitting area. Linens--sheets, duvet covers, bath towels and kitchen towels--are provided with the rental.

The galley kitchen has a cooker and sink. At the far end of the kitchen are the terrace doors leading to the private garden for your use. The kitchen equipment includes a refrigerator, gas hob, kettle and microwave and washing machine. The kitchen table area includes 4 chairs. Plates, mugs, bowls, glasses, pots and pans are provided.

Though small, the bathroom has a shower, toilet, sink-on-cabinet, mirrored top cabinet and heated towel bar. It is tiled on the floor in grey slate. The walls are tiled in white. There is a shower, but no baththub.

The bedroom terrace doors lead to the garden area. There is raised terrace with the garden shed at the end. A hydrangea bush dominates the right side of the garden. Just outside the terrace doors there is room for a table and chairs, provided with the rental.

This fully-furnished recently renovated studio/one bedroom flat with the essential amenities has good transport for reaching Central London swiftly. Buses from Archway are plentiful. The Northern Line tube is nearby, making access to St. Pancras/Kings Cross and the Eurostar reasonably convenient. Upper Holloway Station on the London Overground network is also convenient.

Nice flat, in a good location -Excellent value !

I was visiting the Holloway area for a week on family business so the flat was very convenient for me.

The flat is comfortable, clean and well equipped. The kitchen is especially nice.

The flat is only about 10 minutes walk from Archway where there is a Northern line tube station and many buses to take you into the centre of London.

This trip taught me that renting a nice place like this one is much better than staying in a hotel and is overall less expensive.

Cordelia is a very nice person to deal with.

Excellent stay

The flat has been refurbished and has all needed appliances. It was very clean and Cordelia was a very helpfull and kind host.

Everything was according what's in the web and really do recommend staying there. All my friends have been already notified and next trip I'll be booking there for sure!

At the station (24 Junction Road) is an Italian restaurant Il Mio Mosaic which is reasonable and tasty. They have an outdoor back garden usable during the summer months.

The Spoke Coffee Shop at the corner of Marlborough Road and Holloway Road (710 Holloway Road) is a good place for coffee, though it is a bit pricey.

Near Archway Station is Bread and Bean coffee Shop (37 Junction Road) is Bread and Bean, a coffee shop and bakery. They have wifi and a few places to sit. Wifi password is coffee37.

Down the Holloway Road from here is the Thai Restaurant Nid Ting (533 Upper Holloway). Reviews on Yelp say that it is good, not too expensive and does take away.

On the left hand side of Holloway Road as you head up the hill toward the station is Harman Charcoal Grill, a Middle Eastern restaurant. It has acceptable food.

‘500’ is an Italian Restaurant that gets good reviews.

St. John’s Tavern (91 Junction Road) is located near Archway Station. It is both a pub and a restaurant. It gets good reviews, though it is not cheap. We found the food to be acceptable but nothing to rave about. If you want to go to the Tavern restaurant, you need to book a table.


There are three supermarkets in the immediate vicinity, all located near Archway Station—Sainsbury’s Local on Holloway Road, Budgens on Holloway Road and the Co-op on Junction Road. Sainsbury’s has good ready meals, suitable for microwaving. If you walk down Holloway Road (toward the City) about 1 km, there is a large Morrisons on the left side. After that comes a large Waitrose at the corner of Holloway Road and Seven Sisters Road also on the left hand side. The intersection is called Nag’s Head. Waitrose has high quality products.


Natwest and Barclays are also located on the Holloway Road before the Waitrose. ATM machines are located at Archway Station’s Post Office and to the left of the post office in the former Natwest Bank building. There is also an ATM in front of the Sainsbury’s Local.

Nearby Stations:

Use of the transport system in London requires that you purchase an Oyster Card, available at Main Stations like Kings Cross or St. Pancras. If you have a contactless debit card you can also use that card to pay for your fare on London buses.

Just up Holloway Road on the left hand side is the Upper Holloway London Overground Station which goes between Gospel Oak and Barking. At Gospel Oak you can connect to the rest of the Overground System.

Archway Station at the top of Holloway Road is on the High Barnet Branch of the Northern Line and very convenient for getting to the West End on the Charing Cross Branch or the City on the Bank Branch. Watch the signs on the station platforms to choose the correct train for heading into London. All south-bound trains from Archway pass through Camden Town. At Archway station buses are plentiful.
