Villa Helena is one of three beautifully finished villas on the island of Meganisi. Built on the North-West of the island amidst lush vegetation the location could not be more magnificent; the scenery and natural beauty of the villas are exceptional. The owners are a local family of Civil Engineers and Architects who with their flair for design have created elegant and chic homes. Our private beach is sheltered by lovely olive trees, fir trees, myrtle and other indigenous flora and it is the perfect place to swim in the translucent waters of the coast or just relax on the beach and watch the boats sailing past. The beach is fine shingle and we will provide sun-mattresses for you to take to the beach if you wish.

The island of Meganisi is lesser known as a holiday destination to a wider audience in comparison to neighbouring, Lefkada, Corfu, Paxos and Cephalonia. This, of course, has ensured that it has maintained much of its character and traditional Greek identity. There are plenty of attractions even for the more discerning traveller. The impressive green landscape offers many beautiful walks for all levels and there is a very good book that can be bought locally with tracks to follow. Just a ferry ride or short motorboat ride away is Lefkas (also known as Lefkada) with its long white beaches of the west coast, perfect for sun worshippers and family days out. Beautiful old churches dotted around the island, museums in Lefkas Town and archaeological sites close by are great for those looking for a bit of culture whilst on holiday. Lefkada also hosts one of the most famous International Folklore Festivals in Greece during the month of August.
