There is a well-designed ski storage area to help you to easily manage and organise all the skiing or biking equipment from two families or a large group.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms in the chalet. The Master Bedroom is an impressively large double room on the upper floor, with incredible picture windows and a view to take your breath away. It benefits from its own en-suite with jacuzzi spa bath (with hand shower) and his'n'hers sinks. The other bedrooms are all on the lower floor, configured as one double bedroom, one twin bedroom (with two separate single beds) and one bunk bedroom with full-sized bunk beds for 4 people. There are two further bathrooms, each with twin sinks, bath and overhead shower, and a guest WC. If you wish to travel with children under 2 years old, just let us know and we will provide a cot and a high chair in your chalet.
The kitchen is fully fitted to meet the needs of catering for 10 hungry skiers, including an oven with ceramic hob and a fridge. There is a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, electric filter coffee-machine, Nespresso coffee-machine, plus fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire. A hairdryer, washing machine, iron and portable outdoor barbecue are all available for you to use. The well-thought out skier's entrance is kitted out with all the space and organisation that you need for a chalet-full of ski gear or hiking kit, with plenty of electric boot-heaters to dry everything out if necessary.
In the summer season, there is a large balcony on three sides of the chalet with a barbecue terrace and deck chairs to enjoy. There is also an outdoor table tennis set to entertain the more energetic members of the group.
When you get home from a hard day hiking or skiing on the slopes, why not unwind in the sauna or treat yourself to a bubbling spa bath before enjoying some well-deserved afternoon tea? You can send the children downstairs to play in the second living room/TV area, and relax on a delightfully comfortable sofa in the sitting room. As you watch the large, flat-screen television, try not to be distracted by the beautiful and ever-changing views from the windows behind the screen. On a blue-sky day, the view stretches 20km, up to the peaks of the Haut de Cry and the Mont Gond, which tower 2000m over the Rhone Valley floor below. In the summer season, there is a large balcony on three sides of the chalet with a barbecue terrace to enjoy. There is also an outdoor table tennis set to entertain the more energetic members of the group. When the snow is falling, you can watch it drifting slowly past you, as it settles over the traditional village of Iserables across the nearby valley.
Chalet Au Valais de Pic is equipped with free, high-speed WIFI for your own private use. The Smart TV has Netflix and other apps, in addition to over 100 TV channels in 5 languages.
We’re sorry but this is a pet-free property. Please browse our selection of pet-friendly rentals if you would like to travel with your pet.
Parking for 3 cars behind the chalet. A 4x4 with winter tyres and/or snow chains is recommended in winter due to steep and snowy access road. For all other vehicles, alternative parking is available 300m away on the main road. Contact us for railway or airport transfers.
The chalet is only 150m from the free ski-bus that effortlessly carries you 500m to where the main piste sweeps past the apres-ski bar and leads down to the telecabin. The modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.
Everyone staying with us has access to discounted skipasses. Here are the conditions for 2018/19: To be eligible for the full 15% discount, ski-passes must be ordered and paid in full 14 days in advance of your first ski day via the 4vallees4saisons site. We accept all major credit cards. All advance-purchase passes will be printed for collection with your keys when you arrive in the resort. Discounted passes are available for all age-groups, for durations from one day up to 21 consecutive days, and cover the Savoleyres, Verbier or 4-Valleys sectors in both high and low season. The discount is not cumulative with any other offers or reductions and does not apply to the insurance options available. Ski-passes can neither be cancelled nor exchanged once they have been ordered. After booking we will also provide you with discount opportunities for various other services, including 10% off ski lessons and 15% off ski equipment rental.
In the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts. The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle. You can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for Europe’s highest fondue and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.
In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The 'Bisses' are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved now and can be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We’ll provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier. Don’t miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.
