About Lorna Moffat
I live in Edinburgh with my young family, and manage several properties as holiday lets. It's such a beautiful city, I feel very lucky to live here, and I really enjoy welcoming guests to stay.

The perfect spot.
My daughter and I shared this property while she studied for her first set of university exams. The location was perfect for the university and buses. There was a grocery store and coffee shop close by. The property was bright, clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped for our cooking needs.
This flat is close to the main Newington Rd which is a straight shot up to the city center. For me it was a great location also to Pollock Halls, as I was getting my student settled at uni. It is close to bus stops and there is a small grocery nearby. The flat was quiet, with beautiful views. Fourth floor may be difficult for some but if can handle that it's worth it. Check-in was easy, and both Magda and Lorna were very helpful
Clean, modern and nice area of Edinburgh.
The property was well maintained, clean and modern in appearance. At first we were a little daunted by the walk into the centre of Edinburgh, but actually, it allowed us to experience Edinburgh away from the main hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. I would recommend this flat and the Newington area to others wishing to spend time in Edinburgh.
Only a couple of very small criticisms...... separate toilet and shower were handy, but not having sink separate from the toilet. The shower gets very steamy with no expel air. Also, a pizza cutter should be an investment ;-)
Great place!! Nice neighbourhood and short walk to sights.
My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights in April. We loved it. It's clean and cozy and a great location, only a 15 min. walk through the Meadows to the university and sights of the Old Town. But just out the door there's everything you need - restaurants, stores, pubs, etc. We liked the neighbourhood (Newington). Bustling but not noisy. The stairs weren't a problem for us but yes it is the top floor. No complaints, I'd definitely stay here again!
Not what we expected
This is not the place to stay if you have a car. Parking is difficult and expensive and they don't provide a permit. This is also not the place to stay if you have heavy luggage as it is on the top floor and there is no lift. You have to carry luggage up 3 flights of a spiral staircase. That being said, the flat is in a good location which you can walk to many restaurants and bars from.
