This single-storey villa is in 1000 m² fenced garden planted with trees and flowers
It is located in the bustling centre of the island and consists of 3 bedrooms for 6 persons, a small extra bed oder 2 folding cots for babies.
It is in a quiet and elegant residential area that is very sought after for its pleasant neighbourhood and the proximity of all amenities.

You will find a nice quiet and relaxing area far away from the seasonal bustle and close to the beautiful covered market between salt marshes and lively village centre. Beaches are 4 km.
The covered terrace opening onto the garden and serving as 6th living space all day long is ideal for breakfast.

Native of Ile-d’Oléron, we work in Saintes, 65 km away. The grandparents, former shopkeepers in the pedestrian street for several generations, still leave at the end of the same Rue des Terres.
Isabelle-Sophie and Jean-Christophe purchased this house in 1972
Our grandfather built the villa in 1972 where used to be its former orchard. It will be its dream house. This is where our family reunions take place.
Today, we rent “La Cerisaie” to keep it as alive as possible and to make the necessary modern adjustments that we share with you.

The definition of this villa in the heart of the island is: ideal
1) Thanks to its geographical location in the island: the central jaw-dropping setting of Saint-Pierre gives you the opportunity to limit your car travels and to easily access all the destinations. Everything always leads to Saint-Pierre, the must-see of the island. This town is sheltered from strong winds contrary to Northern villages of the island where they have a changing weather and ocean winds.
2) Thanks to its geographical location in the village of Saint-Pierre: you live in the middle of the population of Oléron, you are not isolated and all amenities are on site and reachable on foot or by bike.
The villa was built in the North-East quarter of the village, close to the centre and far away from nuisances (departmental road and its summer traffic jam or take-off runways of Bois Fleury aerodrome).

We have just come back from spending the first two weeks of July in Saint Pierre d'Oleron and what a fantastic house to stay in. The lounge was big and spacious - enough room for us to spread out on a evening and the beds lovely and comfy. The house had lots of nice little touches and a great big garden for our boys to run around in. We really liked the fact it took just over 5 minutes to walk into the centre of the town but the villa itself was nice and quiet. We also enjoyed getting fresh bread and croissants from the boulangerie round the corner every morning. We can't wait to come back - it was a fabulous holiday!
We stayed here in May (3 adults and 2 kids) and were delighted with the house and its location. If you enjoy cooking, like we do, the kitchen is very very well equipped (unlike alot of holiday rentals). The house is very spacious, so for the 5 of us it was more than enough room. The garden is pretty and private with a BBQ and a very usefull coved dining area ! Everything was spotless upon our arrival, the communication with the owners was great and Isabel was very very helpful ! It was silent at night and the beds and bedding really comfortable. We walked the short walk to the market in Saint Pierre almost every day and the pedestrian shopping street is also at walking distance. Thank you again and we hope to come back soon :)
Très jolie maison, très bien située, très propre, sans oublier la decoration qui est vraiment jolie avec tout le confort possible pour nous et nos 2 enfants. Les propriétaires aux petits soins, sympathiques, flexibles.
Nous avons passé 2 semaines merveilleuses dans cette magnifique maison, que nous louerons à nouveau lors de notre prochain séjour à l'île d'Oleron.
Très belle maison dans secteur calme, aucun élément de confort ne manque dans cette location. Une 2eme douche serait le bienvenu . Nous sommes très satisfaits par notre séjour. Nous recommanderons cette location à nos amis.

Close to the port of La Cotinière, 4 km from the sea
In the centre of the island beats a heart of paramount importance: Saint-Pierre-d’Oléron, part of daily life, between charm and modernity.
Itinerary: at the end of the bridge, follow Saint-Pierre-d’Oléron. At the entrance of the village, right after the sign, you will arrive to a traditional roundabout embellished with vine stock under which sardines swim. Turn right. Go straight for exactly 1000 m. Turn left and you are in Rue du Levant. Continue in this street up to the next intersection with Rue des Terres. The house is at the corner of these 2 streets, on your left. Have a nice trip!
Note: new speed radar called “radar speed sign” on the bridge. Speed limit: 90 km/h (average speed calculated). Frequent mobile speed radar at the end of the bridge. Fixed speed radar (70 km/h) at the exit of Saintes, lieu-dit La Feuillée.
For special oyster lovers: the “Spéciale Gillardeau” in Bourcefranc-le-Chapus, on your right before crossing the bridge is objectively our favourite.
We appreciate the beach of Gatsay close to Saint-Trojan that is sheltered from the wind all year long.
When we come back; we like to enjoy L’Albatros restaurant that is also in Saint-Trojan. There offer refined home-made cuisine with local products, attentive service and terrace on the waterfront. Be careful, it can be busy in summer.
Food lovers will find the remarkable pastry chef, chocolate maker, ice maker and baker Bourdon in the middle of the pedestrian street.
Other activities: Fort Boyard, Fort du Chapus, aquatic centre in Dolus, sea excursion from Boyardville, aerodrome, fishing from the shore, port of La Cotinière, Chassiron Lighthouse, strolls on the long beaches or forests and bric-a-brac every Friday in Saint-Pierre and elsewhere on Saturday or Sunday.
