The setting was stunning and the cottage charming.
Corrine was a most attentive host, leaving wine, cake and chocolates and giving us information about local walks. The garden was beautiful, the bird feeders attracting a wide variety of birds. The cottage itself was well equipped with a large screen TV, Sky and WiFi.
Ideal setting for a weekend break in a beautiful area
Beautiful, comfortable cottage with a stunning garden overlooking rolling hills, in a beautiful area with plenty of walks near by. Tim and Corrine are lovely hosts and it was very kind of them to leave us some welcome gifts. The cottage has everything you could need, with plenty of information about the area. There are walks immediately outside the cottage and we were lucky enough to have a sunny day on our first day to walk along the Eden and go for a pub lunch in Armatwhaite. It's slightly outside, but well placed to access the Lake District, as our plan was to walk Helvellyn on the second day. Overall a great stay and well recommended. The cottage was perfect and reasonably priced. Thanks Tim and corrine for having us and for the welcoming gifts!
