About the property

Newly refurbished beautiful apartment with stunning new kitchen

The apartment is on the second floor, is light, sunny and spacious with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room kitchen and dining area and a balcony. It is newly refurbished and very well equipped. The kitchen includes a fridge/freezer, hob, oven, dishwasher, toasted sandwich/waffle maker, slow cooker and raclette. Your own washing machine/dryer is fitted in one of the bathrooms. The TV has several English channels as well as Netflix. Full free wi-fi means that you can connect your computer to the smart TV and there is a DVD player and music player, together with a selection of DVDs and CDs. The balcony has a table and chairs. There are beautiful views to the back of the village, looking towards the slopes of Arc 2000, in a quiet but central location. Hameau Du Glacier is a 5* residence with 24 hour reception. There is a large swimming pool within the block and a small outside pool and Jacuzzi just outside the apartment. A gym and hamman/sauna are just across the corridor. You can ski in/ski out from the apartment block. Arc 1950 is apretty village. It is snow sure and arguably the best connected of the villages that make up the wonderful Paradiski area. The apartment is in the village centre and yet faces the quiet side. Facilities in the village include shops and restaurants, ski hire and a good ski school and child care. There is also a car park under the village if required with direct lift access into the reception.

What makes this apartment unique

The kitchen is much bigger than in similar sized apartments and has a full sized oven and large, 3 drawer freezer as well as useful extra equipment. The smart TV offers Netflix as well as a range of English TV channels in addition to channels from other European countries. Your own washing machine/dryer is located in a bathroom. The dining table extends to fit 8 and there are 8 dining chairs so ample room for entertaining.

Fantastic week

This was our 3rd visit to 1950, the first time in Tina's apartment.

Tina was great with communication throughout the whole process.

The apartment is immaculate and the washer/dryer is a wonderful addition.

The location is ski in/out and there are 2 ski lockers so plenty of room for the 5 of us.

There has been so much snow this year that the outside pool disappeared so we were unable to use this, however dressing gowns and slippers are provided so you can just walk through an internal walkway to Prince de Cimes Apartments and use the indoor/outdoor pool. Swimming outdoors in the snow is quite an experience!

Normally we drive to 1950 however this year we took the Eurostar direct to Bourg Saint Maurice, you can then take funicular up to 1600 and then free bus however as we were 5 adults with luggage we chose a taxi service - This was excellent at €80 each way and highly recommend all mountains taxi for a fantastic service.

We love the open slopes of the paradiski area and January was a fantastic time to go as lovely and quiet... will definitely book again.

Really lovely apartment in Arc 1950 which has been freshly painted and obviously well cared for

We're just back from a week in Arc 1950 where the snow has been exceptionally good despite the recent warm weather. This was our 6th visit to Arc 1950 and the third (and the best) apartment that we've that we've stayed in there.

The apartment itself has been freshly painted and benefits from new curtains and a new kitchen area. It catches the sun in the morning and is in a super convenient position being just along the corridor from both the main lift/stairs and the sauna/steam room/exit to the outdoor pool and Jacuzzi. What's not to like?

Great apartment, great location

Beautiful, well maintained apartment in Arc 1950.

Benefits from having easy, indoor access to the main inside/outside pool.

Large size with two bedrooms: plenty of room for four and cozy for six.

Washer-dryer is included and is very useful when skiing.

Would definitely stay again!

This was the 4th time we have stayed in this resort, the apartment lived up to expectations

This resort has excellent facilities for everybody,excellent skiing, sledging for the children, indoor outdoor pool, good supermarket bread shop and plenty of places to eat and drink also easy link to Arc 2000 and everything this has to offer.

This was our 4th time in this resort and won't be our last.

Comfortable and well equipped

We had a fantastic week at the apartment at half term. It was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Great to have 2 bathrooms for a family of 5, and having an oven and a washing machine, were also a bonus.

A Fantastic Holiday Apartment in Les Arcs 1950

We had the most fantastic week skiing based at this apartment. The accommodation is well presented and comfortable, with every facility you could wish for including a dishwasher and washing machine.

The apartment block is in the heart of the village although the apartment itself is quiet with dazzling views (look at the photos) over the slopes. It is genuinely ski in/ ski out and the nearest lift is just a couple of minutes away.

At the end of each days skiing we enjoyed the in/out swimming pool and steam room which soothed away any aches and pains! We also braved the jacuzzi which meant a 3 second dash in the cold! The skiing was fantastic - far more runs than we could cover in a week, albeit we were temped on occasion by a leisurely lunch at one of the excellent eateries on the slopes!

We enjoyed a super meal at the restaurant Matzot and most evenings called in at George's Bar - all great fun. We also ate in - there is an excellent grocery store, bakers etc in the village. We popped into the patisserie next door each morning for a croissant or pain au chocolat.

We travelled on the Eurostar Snow Train direct from St Pancras to Bourg St Maurice. It was an easy journey. Bourg station is just at the bottom of the mountain and you can take the funicular railway and then a bus up to 1950.

If you are looking for a tremendous holiday amid beautiful surroundings, then this is the spot you should choose. I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough.
