About this property

Picturesque Stone Cottage

Whether you just want to relax and unwind with a glass of wine, delicious food and strolls in the nature, energize your body and mind by biking in the surrounding hills, discover famous local cuisine or visit some of the world renowned natural, historical or cultural jewels of the region (Venice, Postojna cave, Lake Bled and Ljubljana are all just a day’s trip away), our house is a perfect choice for you.

Wake up in the morning to the crisp fresh air and bird singing. Sip your coffee overlooking the woods and meadows stretching to the horizon. Rest and stay cool (or warm, depending on the season) in the shelter of thick stone walls … or plan a trip to one of the many surrounding heritage sights. And, if the weather is right, have a barbecue and enjoy your lunch or dinner behind a stone table in the beautiful private garden.

With two double bedrooms on the second floor and additional possibilities for sleeping in the ground floor living room, our house easily accommodates a family or a group of up to six friends. Bathroom and kitchen are basic, but equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. However, the biggest gem stone of the house is the enclosed garden offering you plenty of space and privacy for dining, sunbathing, playing with your pets or simply relaxing in the shade of the lush grapevine.

Excellent holiday house
A lovely tranquil house. Well equipped, it would be hard to find a nicer place to stay.

Lovely tranquil cottage in the picturesque Karst
A lovely place to spend a summer week. Simona was very welcoming and the cottage itself was charming - old but beautifully maintained. The walled garden in particular was idyllic. Kopriva is a quiet but pretty village and the locally scenery is stunning. Vineyards everywhere. We were very sorry to leave - albeit with a boot full of teran!

Wonderful traditional village house in sublime surroundings
One of the nicest places we have ever stayed in. A characterful traditional house in secluded garden, with fantastic views of mountains all around (Karst, Julian Alps). A very friendly, unspoilt village. Great walks from the door through vineyards and tracks, and further afield, trips out to characterful towns such as Piran and Koper on the sea. Also, a stunning day trip to the Soči valley, almost from the back door. The amazing frescoed church at Hrastovlje is worth the trip alone. Thank you, Blaz and Vladka!

Very pretty, character cottage, ideally situated, and set in an attractive and very private garden.
A great location and a frindly village added to the obvious attractions of this characterful and delightful cottage. Set within an old village surrounded by vineyards, but in its own private, walled oasis - we loved the huge wooden gates in particular! Many of Slovenia's beautiful attractions are within an hour or two's reach - the coast, the mountains, Lake Bled, Ljubljana and the famous caves. A charming and helpful owner as well as friendly neighbours made us feel very welcome.

Lovely quaint cottage in a great setting.
Lovely cottage with enclosed garden. The bedrooms were very spacious and the kids enjoyed playing in the garden. Definitely recommended
