Large penthouse apartment, 3 private balconies, two overlooking pool. All bedrooms and lounge are fitted with air conditioning. Equipped & furnished to a high standard. The apartment is overlooking a lovely garden complex with communal swimming pools with children's section. The apartment is spread over 3 floors. On the top floor is a large private roof terrace complete with sun loungers, table & chairs for 6 & BBQ. On the second floor you have two double bedrooms one with a king size bed and the other with twin beds, one bathroom with corner bath, toilet & shower. On the first floor you have large lounge/dining room area, with balcony overlooking the pool & garden.32 inch Flat screen TV. DVD, fully fitted kitchen. One double bedroom with twin beds, one shower room and toilet. Please note smoking is not permitted anywhere in the property or on any of the balconies or roof garden.

Beaches: The gently sloping shallow waters of the Mar Menor means it is much warmer than the Mediterranean. You can walk out for many metres with the water still only reaching your thighs, making it much safer for young children.

Water sports are available along the coast -sailing, windsurfing etc The Mar Menor is known for excellent snorkelling & scuba diving with only a short drive from a national underwater reserve area.

Restaurants & bars: Los Alcazares has lots of restaurants a large number are within walking distance from the apartment. There are a good choice of bars from Spanish to Irish, English, German etc.

Golf: Los Alcazares is ideally located for a perfect Golf Holiday. La Manga is only a 15min drive with other well known courses of La Finca, Real Club de Golf Campoamor and Las Ramblas.

This is our second time back for myself and my family. Both times we have stayed in this particular villa. Our first visit was on a recommendation from a good friend who had stayed here for the past 10 years which I felt spoke for itself. We were not disappointed our children now are 11, 9 and 5 and we have all had a fantastic time again and will be coming back next year if you let us lol. The beach is in easy walking distance as are the shops and restaurants. the other bonus for us was that it is only 5 km away from the airport. Many thanks Christine for letting us stay in your lovely villa again creating special family memories for myself and my familly

Great holiday, already booked for next year!

The apartment was perfect, light and airy with lovely balconies overlooking the pool area which was beautifully maintained. We particularly enjoyed barbecuing in the evening sun on the rooftop terrace.

The resort centre and supermarket were both a five minute walk away from the apartment. I would particularly recommend it for families as the resort has a varied selection of good restaurants with live music playing in the square most evenings. The owners provide a file in which most of the local restaurants can be found, our particular favourite was El Patio just two minutes away from the apartment.

The beach was a ten minute walk from the apartment with a good choice of beach bars serving excellent tapas and cold beers! The sea was clear, relatively shallow and warm making it ideal for families with young children and very popular with the Spanish locals. The promenade stretched for a few miles along the beach making it great for cycling, walking or buggy pushing!

We spent three weeks here with three teenage boys and as already stated we have booked again for next year, we can't rate it highly enough!

Fantastic location - apartment bit tired.

Lots of plus points first - Location : 5 mins from Plaza, 10 mins from Beach, less than 10 mins from Airport. Pool : great for families. Security : very good. Rooftop : great for sunbathing & lunches. lots of room in apartment and lots of balconies. Shopping trolley : this came in very handy.

Really enjoyed our time in Los Alcazares/The Apartment. just a couple of minor niggles. Think the place is fine, but probably needs a wee bit of TLC eg. lights & lamps not working, air con not working in one of the bedrooms, sunbed cushions need replaced, shower button broken, spruce up the rooftop a bit - coupla plants, wall plaques, a light, parasol doesn't fit the base so keeps blowing over. Minor niggles but easily fixable. Like I say, overall, really enjoyed our stay, and when we contacted Trevor about the DVD player not working, he replaced it the next day.

Supermarkets are great and the restaurants/bars are superb.

Didn't have one bad meal from fish & chips @ Pearls Place at one end of the scale to Rosalinds Rooftop at the other end. Highly recommend Hemingways for good service and food.

Owner's Response: In response to your claims, clearly at the end of every season the property will have suffered a certain amount of wear and tear, this on top of the normal cycle of re-decoration partly justifies the criticism. It is extremely difficult to undertake certain works during the season and even a simple repair could disrupt somebody's holiday. The property is in our opinion now close to 100% however we are always prepared to respond to any observations and still feel this property offers the most remarkable value for money when compared to any other Southern European destination.

Recommend, recommend, recommend!

We visited the apartment as a family, (2 x adult, 19 year old and 16 year old) mid July 2013. The apartment was very clean and in good order. Having the 3 balconies and roof terrace gave everyone their own space. The kitchen was well equipped and no complaints with all the electrical equipment provided. Around the pool there was plenty of space including shaded areas to relax. At night there was absolutely no noise at all from other residents. It is in a secured complex with a key gated entrance.

The position of the apartment is within a 5 minute walk to the down and 10 minutes to the beach. There are plenty of restaurants and a choice of supermarkets.

I would definately recommend the appointment to the older generation/young and families.

I will certainly be visiting this apartment again in the future and thank Chris (owner) for her good communication with regards to keys and wishing us a good holiday etc. Keep up the good work!

Wonderful Family Holiday

We have just returned from a fantastic stay the last week of May 2013.

Firstly the apartment is fantastic, we are a party of 4 adults and 2 children and the apartment more than catered for our needs, very spacious with excellent balconies and wonderful roof terrace (perfect for bbq's). The apartment is fully equipped with everything you could need for your stay, large fridge freezer, and even a microwave was a bonus, I can't say we found anything missing and it was a home from home. Sky TV was brilliant for our little one to get away from a bit of sun and the games etc provided entertainment for our 10 year old. We found it a little cool at night, so the extra blankets came in very useful. The apartment was clean and airy upon our arrival and everything ran smoothly (key exchange etc).

The pool area is excellent and well maintained, brilliant pool for little ones and shallow end for paddling in. All other holiday makers were really nice and friendly and all the children played together in the pool, such a relaxing and perfect place to stay.

Los Alcazares is a perfect resort for families, within a few minutes walk of the apartment is a square full of restaurants with outside dining, a couple of music bars but nothing roudy at all. The beach is approx 10 minutes stroll from the apartments although we only went once as it was quite windy.

All in all we had a perfect holiday, and will be returning for 2 weeks next year!

The town of Los Alcazares is situated in the Murcia region of south-eastern Spain known as the Costa Calida. The town sits on the western shore of the Mar Menor, a salt-water lagoon separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a 22km strip of land called La Manga.
