Lovely and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

The home is better than advertised. It is quaint, quiet and has everything a weary traveler may need. The home was clean and comfortable. The owner Bruno was charming and took the time to show us his beautiful car collection, the fruit trees in the yard and of course the chickens :). This home is only a couple of blocks from Lake Street so there are many shops and restaurants within an easy walk. We chose this home because we didn't want to rent a car and we prefer to walk most places -- and this home's proximity was perfect. We used Uber but want to mention that there is a long private driveway for those that decide to rent a car.

If you stay here, you will enjoy the vibe. Happy travels to all !!

Beyond expectations

  • 5 of 5

For a family of four looking for more than just a place to stay, this exceeded all our expectations. Everything as advertised and more. Quiet and convenient location. Charming and rustic but very comfortable with all amenities and plenty of space. And Bruno made us feel we were friends or family visiting, not customers. The chauffeured tour of the neighborhood in a classic Citroen was an added bonus. My kids are still talking about it. If you're looking for a "local" experience with a sense of area history, this is your place. If you're looking for "sleek" and "modern", you may want to keep looking.

Perfect, comfortable and a wonderful host

  • 5 of 5

I rented this bungalow for 8 nights when I came to visit my daughter. The location is exceptional, and the street is lovely and quiet. Cynthia was very responsive, and even delivered some breakfast treats one morning.

The house is comfortable and has everything one needs.

I plan on booking again, and I would recommend this property highly

Fantastic experience and exceptional Host!

  • 5 of 5

My family of four visited this great bungalow for the Rose Bowl Parade and game. We found the place to be comfortable, quiet yet so very convenient to everything! The WIFi was the best and fastest I've ever encountered!( a plus also for our teenagers!) the beds were comfy and it had all the comforts of home!!! The best part however was our host,Bruno. He exceeded all expectations in accommodating our needs! From the stocked fridge and snacks to the wonderful ride to the stadium in his awesome Citroen and back, he truly goes the extra mile to make a guest feel welcome! Also enjoyed his funny anecdotes! I would 100% recommend this property to everyone visiting the area!!! Thanks a million Bruno!!!

Comfortable and relaxing bungalow in Pasadena

  • 5 of 5

We came to Pasadena for our daughter's college graduation and stayed in Bruno and Cynthia's 1920's bungalow. We found the bungalow comfortable and relaxing, and we enjoyed a few evenings sitting outside with the singing birds. Everything was perfect and staying here made our stay so much better. We liked seeing the chickens and enjoyed their eggs for breakfast. What a joy to find this property when so many bungalows from this era are being torn down to be replaced by large modern homes. We felt we had a window into old Pasadena! We highly recommend a stay in this property when visiting Pasadena. Thank you Bruno and Cynthia!

Perfect location; charming host

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here as I was working at Caltech. It was incredibly convenient - a few moments walk. Bruno was an excellent host and we had many engaging conversations about his family and the art world. The bed was very comfortable (vital!) and the kitchen well equipped.
