A immaculately presented house in Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria. This lovely house is ideal for families and friends wishing to explore this stunning area within the Lake District National Park. It is has been designed as an upside down house to make the most of the beautiful lake and mountain views, which can be seen from the lounge and kitchen. The location is superb, being just five minutes walk from the village of Bowness-on- Windermere, with its excellent shops and eateries, whilst also having the lake shore on your door step.
We welcome well behaved dogs, but just ask they are not left in the house unattended, although we are happy for you to bring a pet crate for the house.
The house offers 3 ground floor bedrooms all with en-suite facilities. The master king size room has a huge bathroom with corner bath & double shower, the other king size has a shower room as does the double. Upstairs there is a spacious and stylish living space where you can look out over a Juliet balcony from the sitting room to enjoy the Lake view with a morning coffee or relax on the large corner sofa and armchair at the end of the day. The superbly-presented generous living space also has a well-equipped kitchen and through an arch way there is a dining room with sitting area and a beautiful wooden floor.
Despite our central location we have plenty of guest parking within our grounds. Please note the house can only accommodate 6 people plus baby maximum. We have 1 travel cot and high chair available. We are dog friendly allowing one well behaved dog. We have free Wi-Fi, bed linen and 1 bath & hand towel pp, and bath mats. We also provide dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, tea towels and starter toilet rolls.
After a full day exploring the area, you can return to enjoy an alfresco meal or glass of wine in the delightful patio garden, or stroll to one of the restaurants by the lakeside, all on your doorstep. Outside this Bowness-on-Windermere cottage is a large enclosed patio where guests can enjoy a BBQ or a few evening drinks, plus it has the added benefit of on-site parking for 3 cars.
The superb location of this charming Windermere cottage makes it perfect as a convenient base with easy access to the amenities in both Bowness-on-Windermere or Windermere village itself, including excellent restaurants available in both.
Our changeover day is a Friday. Please note that the rates quoted are for a full 7 night week; the way the calendar is set up we are not able to overlap dates so the rates look like they are Fri to Thurs, which is 7 inclusive nights, so you would check in on a Friday at 4pm and check out a week later on the Friday at 10am.
Bowness-on-Windermere has a beautiful lakeside front where you can enjoy a cruise up the lake to ever-popular Ambleside, or down to Lakeside to explore the Aquarium of the Lake or embark on the Haverthwaite & Lakeside Steam railway. With so much to do in the area and such welcoming accommodation to return to, this perfect Windermere cottage is superb at any time of the year.
