Great "second home" for a family holiday visit

  • 5 of 5

We come to Kingman every year for Thanksgiving. This year, we had four families totaling 14 people descending on our parent's home, half of which are children ages 1 through 10. To prevent overcrowding, three of our families (6 adults, 6 kids) decided to rent this home. We stayed Tuesday through Saturday, and by the end of that stay we were all very happy with the decision. The house is in a scenic desert location outside of town with a great mountain view. Feels more remote than it actually is. Very easy to get to. We had a family of four in each bedroom, which was a tight squeeze in the two smaller rooms, but that was our choice and to be expected. With the converted garage/man cave serving as an "overflow" bedroom, it totally served our sleeping needs. One of the families has a baby and a 2 year-old and stayed in the master bedroom. They used the small reading room for the baby, and the home came with a crib, so that worked out well. The living space was roomy enough for the adults to chat and the kids to play around without getting in each others way. The kitchen is nice and well equipped with enough pots and pans to be self-sufficient after a trip to the grocery store in town. The owners and their family were very friendly throughout the process. They met us in person and explained everything we needed to know. After booking we had to add an extra day and the owner worked with us to do so. We would definitely recommend this house and hope to stay their again.

Wow!

I can't even tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. The house itself was just absolutely beautiful. The quality and details just made it feel like home. The bed was so comfortable. The bathtub was wonderful. My daughter felt like she was in a swimming pool with jets. We loved sitting outside on the porch and just taking in the wonderful scenery. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway. Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful location and the quality that you put into it.

Beautiful and Relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

This home is one of the finest I've seen. Plenty of room to roam and enjoy the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets from the patio. Quiet and serene, this is the perfect opportunity to unwind and just take it all in. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place to go! And the deep tub with jets will melt all your cares away. Perfect weekend oasis in the mountains. I would definitely make this one my first stop for mountain getaway again!

If your looking for relaxing set in gorgeous scenery you've found it! House is amazing! First class! Great floor plan went with our parents both couples had plenty of room and privacy. House perfectly situated for great sunrise and sunset viewing. The whole area is very quiet and nice. The McBrayers have done a great job and are so very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend a stay here. Close enough to the Grand Canyon and Hoover for several day trips with out all the stress. We had such a great stay! So grateful for the McBrayers kindness!

Great place - but allergies affected

  • 4 of 5

The property is nice and has ample room for entertainment. Nice location in the hills above Kingman Arizona for a quiet stay. Lots of dishes and needed cooking items for preparing meals for your group. Lots of seating areas for dinner with everyone! Half of our group has bad allergies to cats and they were aggravated tremendously at this property. The property itself is clean and well maintained, but if you have allergies the dander tends to stay past a cleaning and we had big issues from it. If you don't have any allergies there should be no issues!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the positive comments for your stay, we had called to find out how things went on your checkout and we did not receive a call back. We will monitor the situation and want to let you know that no cats have been on the property. We will change our laundry pods to ALL clear. We will inform our cleaning crew to double check all areas. Happy New Year, Pat
