WELCOME TO AISH CROSS HOLIDAY COTTAGES !

A FAMILY RUN RETREAT IN THE HEART OF SOUTH DEVON

My wife, Angie, and I are both locals, having grown up in this beautiful area. When I retired from the insurance business in 2004, we stumbled upon Aish Cross House – a charming Regency property with a coach house and stable.

We saw an opportunity to share this special place with others, so we embarked on a journey to convert these buildings into luxurious holiday cottages. We're proud to say that all three cottages – The Coach House (sleeping 6), The Stable, and The Hayloft (both sleeping 4) – have received the prestigious Visit England 5* Gold Award.

Over the years, our cottages have been recognised with regional awards, and seeing guests enjoy their stay is truly rewarding. We believe in providing exceptional comfort and a relaxing atmosphere, surrounded by stunning scenery. This is reflected in the high number of returning guests we welcome back year after year.

YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Angie and I live in the main house on the property and are always available to offer assistance and recommendations to our guests. We want to ensure you have the most enjoyable and memorable holiday experience possible.

UNWIND IN THE PICTURESQUE GARDENS

The expansive grounds at Aish Cross are thoughtfully divided into two distinct gardens. One, The Orchard Garden is dedicated solely for the enjoyment of our guests, offering a tranquil space to relax and unwind. The other is our private garden, ensuring a comfortable separation between guest and owner areas.

Three years ago, we added a delightful "Island Rose Garden" – a secluded haven featuring a charming BBQ Lodge. It's a place that has become a favourite among our guests.

CREATING LASTING MEMORIES

Over the past 19 years, we've had the pleasure of meeting wonderful people from all over the world, some of whom have become lifelong friends. We look forward to welcoming you and creating lasting memories for you too..

Why they chose this property

We live in an ONB - (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) - From the countryside to the sea shore it's beautiful ! We chose to live in Aish, because it's in the heart of the lovely countryside, but still close to the historic and picturesque town of Totnes (3 miles). The vibrant village of Stoke Gabriel on the banks of the river Dart, is only a mile away, and its a real community hub, with 2 pubs, a bistro, cafe and excellent village shop/post office selling lots of local produce. We're only 20 minutes away from 'the brighter lights' of Torbay (Torquay, Paignton and Brixham) and if we want to a visit to Dartmoor, Dartmouth, Salcombe or the beautiful beaches of the South Hams - its an easy drive. All in all, we've got the best of all worlds -we live in a lovely community, with beautiful surroundings but close to all the amenities we need - we just love it where we are !
