About Andelka Baric
I am Anđelka and I am 43 years old. My husband Krešimir and I live in this beautiful house in Solin. I graduated from the Faculty of Economics and work in a family business. I like to travel but be a host too and meet nice people from all over the world and help them to get know all about Split and surroundings and beautiful Croatia what to see, where to go, what and where to eat... I have met so many nice people through this years of listing my other apartments in Split, and I have received their positive mood and warmth while happily receiving them into my apartments. I'm grateful and exited for what's yet to come!

Amazing villa, location and people!!
What a fantastic time in Croatia and in particular this villa. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. This could have happened as they live above this apartment but you rarely see them unless you need them (like when I messed up the tv).The facilities were fantastic, sky tv, air con (main unit in living room), wi fi, everything to make the whole family happy. The utility room washing machine was good and all liquid was provided. The pool was great and they had floats etc to play with and a parasol for shade. They were really on top of cleaning it and came when it was convenient to us. The kitchen we stocked with a good amount of utensils and basics such as salt, pepper, ice cubes bags, foil, cling film etc. We also had a lovely welcome gift of drinks and snacks after our journey. Andelka also provided us with meat to have one night in the bbq outside on the terrace which was amazing. On top of this wine and liquor made by their family. Wow, these were great!!
Solin had a lot to offer with the Roman ruins and great roads to Split and Trogir. Note the villa is near the main road and you can hear the occasional honking horn but nothing to bother about.
In Solin we ate at River which was good and a short walk. The Sweet Factory across from River was fab for crepes.
Split was bustling on an evening and the palace and Cathedral were worth seeing. Lukas homemade ice creams and cakes is worth seeking out.
Trogir is a walled town and also lovely for a meal and a walk around the fortress. Babalus (I think) was the name of the burger place, so good we went twice.
We hired a car and the driving was quite easy. Andelka provided us with the best places to park in split just a short walk out of town but much easier than the central area.
Note the entrance to the villa is across from the start of the blue railings going up the hill just after the lights and the junction. We missed it the first time.
Overall a fantastic holiday for a family of 4, 2 adults, 9 and 12 year old. We would definitely return and in particular to this villa. It couldn’t have been cleaner, friendly or more welcoming. Hope your holiday is as lovely as ours!!
We were the first guests and we were not disapointed ! Hosts are very nice, we could not have received a more welcoming arrival ! The apartment was extremely clean, and included everything that you could possibly need.Perfect location in a quiet district but just next to Split by car.
We really enjoyed our holiday in Split staying in the Queen Helana apartment. Appreciated the private pool and the hospitality of our hosts – and the fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden.

In between UNESCO- protected cities Split and Trogir, lie the remains of ancient Salona, today’s town of Solin. Salona was the largest Roman town on the eastern coast of the Adriatic sea and the birthplace of Emperor Diocletian who built his palace in Split and spent rest of his life there. From ancient Salona whose size, wealth and magnificence is testified by impressive walls with towers and gates, the forum with temples, a 17,000 -seater amphitheater , one of the biggest collection of early-Christian basilicas with cemetery with Salonitan martyrs (Manastirine-here was buried the Salona's martyr bishop Domnio, killed in the Diocletion's prosecutions of Christians, Kapljuč, Marusinac) till Middle age, time of queen Helena and Trpimirović dynasty, coronation of Zvonimir as King of Dalmatia and Croatia in Hollow church in 1075, Solin is truly monument itself...
Besides its rich cultural heritage, past and present of Solin, happy town by river Jadro and youngest town in Croatia is marked with visit of Pope John Paul II to St.Mary Island in 1998., but also with endangered endemic trout subspecie called the Softmouth trout, Swamp cypress as protected natural monument, the one of the only preserved old mill Gašpina mlinica from 18th century, river Jadro „our Croatian Jordan“ with loads of green areas that are a pleasure to stroll through and New Antiquities Stone park and more..
Klis, just 5 km from our villa ( 6 min of drive) is one of the largest, most spectacular and yet easily accessible fortress in the county. The fortress also features the best view of Split. Klis is also a Game of Thrones filming location.
Split, with its 1,700 year old UNESCO-protected palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian, is a quick and easy drive away from the apartment (10-15 minutes drive with traffic till Diocletion's Palace, Riva waterfront promenade, Ferry Port).
UNESCO as one of the world heritage sites has protected town Trogir. It is only 20km from the apartment. We recommend you to visit the cathedral of St Lawrence and Portal of Radovan from the 13th century.
