About Charlotte Kelly

Steve and Charlotte Kelly are husband and wife with two boys who are 13 and 12 years old. We live in Oxfordshire having met and married while both working in London. Whilst living in London we hired holiday homes in Arundel and have always loved this beautiful part of the country. We have spent every holiday since our boys were born down here. We hope you are as spellbound as we are with the sea view.....forever changing throughout each day as well as through the different seasons. It is a magical place and sitting watching the world go by and the boats both near and on the horizon using the binoculars is a perfect way to spend any day!

Charlotte Kelly purchased this house in 2014

Why Charlotte Kelly chose Rustington

We holidayed near Seahouse when the children were younger. We have always loved Arundel, Chichester and the surrounding area of West Sussex. There is so much to offer all ages in this area. Every time we came we always made time to go to Rustington beach. The view is so spectacular and changes constantly. It is very calming and a wonderful place to relax.

What makes this house unique

The View!! With fantastic sea views from the living room, the aptly named Sea House is in an excellent location by the Sussex coast - great for a getaway. In Rustington, close to Littlehampton, Sea house is walking distance to the amenities of both Rustington and Littlehampton and is perfectly placed to enjoy coastal walks. You can't help but relax here.

There are restaurants and a takeaway within walking distance. The promenade is ideal for walking, running, pram pushing and anything in between!

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE BY THE SEA

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this lovey house at the end of June 2018, we were blessed with fabulous English summer weather, the ocean calm and magical.

We loved staying here it was perfect in every way. Everything was so clean and bright, it's a home that has definitely been cared for. The bedrooms were a good size with plenty of closet space and draws, the beds were very comfortable with great bedding. The bathrooms were also great with plenty of towels, again very clean, each bathroom had a separate heater/radiator which will be great to use when a little colder.

We loved the living room nice and spacious, great big couch to lounge on and look at the ocean through the large floor to ceiling windows. Lay there and listen to the ocean, just fabulous..loved the kitchen, had a little trouble working out how to use the cook top, but with a little help from Charlotte Kelly, her husband and the directions in the welcome book we finally worked it out. The view of the ocean was amazing in the day and especially at night it was so pretty to see the moon rising.

Location is fabulous, of course right near the beach, out the front door, walk across the street and their's the beach. Great place to take some lovely walks.

Rustington is just around the corner with good grocery stores and great shopping too.

The house is a short walk to Little Hampton, with lovely parks to walk through on the way or the ocean which ever takes your fancy.

Everything in this house was perfect. We totally LOVED it and will definitely come back.

Thank you Charlotte Kelly for your clear communication and making us so welcome in your beautiful home. We really are very grateful to you.

Very successful visit

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Charlotte's place in Rustington to attend our daughter's wedding at Long Furlong Barn. Various family members joined us at different stages. It proved an ideal venue. The picture window gives a splendid sea view. Charlotte was very helpful in answering queries and in setting up the place perfectly for our requirements. Thoroughly recommended.

We hired this property for a long weekend as a base for a family wedding, It was perfect and very comfortable. if I had one small niggle it would be that it could benefit from a full length mirror.

There are so many things to do in the area. The beach is a stone's throw away and you can walk to cafes and restaurants on the sea front or in nearby Rustington. The award winning East Beach Cafe is a 20 minute walk along the seafront from Sea House. It offers coffee, cakes, lunches and evening meals. You can walk into Rustington approx 20 minutes which offers a good variety of shops and cafes including Waitrose, an Italian restaurant, local grocers, hairdressers, chemists and butchers.

Littlehampton has its own small boating lake and more traditional fish and chip shops . It is located at the one end of the beach front walk . In the opposite direction from here you have a coastal walk that goes for approx. 11 miles towards Goring and is a beautiful and quiet place to see this lovely part of the coast.

Slightly further afield is Arundel with its magnificent Castle and Cathedral. Both are very popular local attractions and the Castle often has events including jousting, exhibitions and family days. The gardens are beautiful and the castle itself is well worth a visit. The cafe in the castle is good too.

Arundel itself is full of independent shops and has lots of good quality restaurants and cafes. It's a lovely place to potter around. Sparks Yard houses gifts, cards and home wares and has recently opened The Loft which is another really popular place to eat.

The Arundel Lido is great to visit with 2 open air pools, one for the younger members and a larger pool too for all ages.

The boat trips on the River Arun are a fun way to while away the time and a great way to see the local area from a different vantage point.

Chichester has its renowned Festival Theatre as well as having more high street shops and boutiques. Chichester Cathedral is well worth a visit too.

The Witterings are located near here which are large, wide sandy beaches from which you can see The Isle of Wight on a clear day. These beaches are full of families, swimmers and kite surfing too.

A great source of information is the website: www.sussexbythesea.com. Sussex by the Sea's three main towns are Arundel, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton. All have their own individual characters and are linked by good rail and road networks to beautiful Sussex villages and the south's other major towns and cities such as Brighton and Portsmouth. Brighton is approx 45 minutes by train from Littlehampton station and is a great way to get into the centre of this bustling town. It has lots if artists, boutiques and attractions like the Brighton Pavilion to keep everyone entertained.
