About the property

Sympathetically restored barn conversions boasting beamed ceilings & chalk walls

Situated in the historic village of Hunmanby, nestled between the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds and the traditional seaside towns of Filey & Scarborough, Lucasland is a unique complex, accommodating up to 18 guests.

The complex is made up of 3 barn conversions which have been sympathetically restored and renovated into 3 self contained cottages. The cottages boast many original features such as beamed ceilings & chalk walls, along with all the comforts of modern living.

All 3 cottages are to be let together and can even be let in conjunction with Denmark House, a detached property just a stones throw away, to provide accommodation for up to 26 people! With or without the addition of Denmark House, Lucasland lends itself ideally to family gatherings & celebrations!

Reached by a private gated entrance and surrounding a communal courtyard, each cottage sleeps 6 and is made up of the following;

- 1 x en-suite Double Bedroom

- 1 x Twin Bedroom

- 1 x Double/Twin Room

- Family Bathroom

- Open plan Living/Dining/Kitchen Area; The living area is complimented by a flat screen TV with a Sky package including Sky Sports, an ipod docking station & feature fireplace. In the dining area, there is seating for 6 and in the kitchen you will find all the essentials including cooker, fridge, freezer & dishwasher.

Throughout the complex there is free WiFi access.

On site, there is also a traditional Pub which is exclusively for guests of Lucasland. The Pub boasts a pool table, dart board (no darts provided) and TV benefiting from Sky Sports, meaning there is something to keep everyone entertained! There are tables in the bar area which will allow all 18 guests to sit and eat together!

The communal courtyard is also home to an 8 seater Hot Tub - Perfect for sitting back & relaxing in on an evening!

Other facilities that can be found in the courtyard area are; built in BBQ, garden furniture & a communal laundry room.

We visited lucasland in April and couldn’t have asked for anything more, each individual cottage had a theme and each were lovely, the rooms were spacious and very clean. The cottage kitchens were spacious and had everything you could need. The bathrooms were lovely and had big baths and great showers. Having your own pub was brilliant we didn’t order any kegs in but that’s because we don’t drink lager but the pub was great with television that had music channels and sports, the pool table and dart board and it’s a huge space for everyone to get together outside of the individual cottages. The outdoor space is gorgeous would be fab in summer but we still enjoyed sitting outside and getting in the private hot tub even though the weather was chilly. The owners were lovely and all the people in the local pub were friendly and gave us advice on where to go and what to do in the village. There is a pub next door to Lucas land which serves lovely food and cheap drinks. Amazing gin and tonics for £4!! The local takeaway was opposite and the pizzas were lovely from there. There is a Chinese over the road that was also really nice food. The village has everything you need and more within walking distance. No issues with the damage deposit at all, was refunded within 10 days as stated. Will definitely return as we loved it and would highly recommend!

A perfect place for a family holiday!

We had a wonderfully relaxed family holiday in a perfect location. The private courtyard was perfect for the children and dog to run freely and safely. Each cottage has its own theme, was beautifully clean and finished to a high standard. We loved relaxing in the hot tub, playing pool and getting together in our very own pub! We loved staying somewhere that was dog friendly and that was still clean and beautiful. We all loved our stay and will definitely be returning!

40th birthday weekend with the girls!!

The cottages were lovely, very clean and cosy, had everything you would need. The pub was fab, perfect size and again had everything you would need, even sky sports!! Hot tub and courtyard are a great communal area too, we were lucky with the weather😎

Everything you need on site I didn't leave all weekend!! Some ventured to the near by beach for a walk and chips!!

Plenty of parking an shops on the door step.

Will definitely return.

Lovely little private complex. Excellent

Booked over the bank holiday weekend for 2 family birthdays. There was a mix of ages. Can honestly say was a fabulous place and would love to stay again. Beautifully themed cottages plenty of get together space including your own private pub plus plenty of space for some me time. Lovely and clean. Fabulous.

Stunning and distinctive luxury cottages.

Having booked these cottages during the renovation phase the final outcome of the project was somewhat unknown.On arrival at the complex to spend New Year 2017 our expectations were exceeded on all levels. The owners greeted us providing advise and information and a delicious home made cake and welcome hamper.The properties were absolutely stunning and the attention to detail in each individual themed cottage was perfect, from the wood burning stoves to comfortable sofas and beds this all contributed to our wonderful stay.The arrangement created an exclusive and special setting for our family groups to be independent in our own cottages but also allowed us to come together in the amazing bar area and to relax in the hot tub.The communal laundry facilities were great to ensure that we didn't return home with a mountain of washing.The village of Hunmanby was delightful for a morning walk along the high street and access to the local shops and pubs.The complex is positioned close to the amazing North East coastline and we were able to walk into Filey through the countryside with ease. Our week at Lucasland was fantastic and if you are looking for somewhere very special, do not hesitate this is an absolute gem!!!!

Guests of this property are within a few yards of the Hunmanby main street, which boasts a multitude of shops.

Hunmanby is a relaxed village with a holiday-style way of life, you are close to the beach and within a short drive of the seaside resorts of Scarborough and Filey. Perfect for taking the kids down to the beach with a bucket and spade, grabbing some fish and chips or enjoying an ice cream.

Just a short drive down the road is The Bay, Filey. The Bay is home to a leisure centre boasting a gym, sauna and swimming pool. On site you will also find a putting green, tennis court and the John Paul Jones pub which serves great food - we recommend the gourmet burgers!

Walking or cycling routes are in abundance along this coast, so there is plenty to do. There are also a selection of local golf courses within reach if you want bring your clubs!
