**Welcome to Wisteria Cottage**:

Our beautifully restored, stone-built Victorian cottage is perfectly situated close to the historic cobbled main street of Haworth, in the heart of Bronte Country. The cottage offers a wonderful base for families, friends and couples looking to explore the village’s charming independent shops, pubs and restaurants as well as venture out into the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

The cottage is a short walk to the rugged ‘Wuthering Heights’ moors, which inspired the English literary Bronte sisters, with commanding views from Top Withens.  Just around the corner is the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children.

If you like to venture further afield, it is a short drive to the market town of Skipton with it’s medieval castle and Harrogate spa town with RHS Harlow Carr and the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms.

The Lounge: 

Entering the property, the original features greet you immediately. With stripped pine floors, Victorian corbels at the bottom of the stairs and a curved wall leading to the cosy lounge. The wood burner and two large comfy sofas make this room great for relaxing after a hard day of walking or sightseeing. Enjoy sitting beside the hearth with a glass of wine and biscuits from your welcome gift. We offer a large television with FreeSat channels, DVD player with a good selection of DVD’s and an MP3 player. A library of books, along with magazines and games are also available in the cottage.

Kitchen: 

The well-equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, washer-dryer, microwave, American fridge-freezer and all cooking equipment needed for your stay. It has a useful area at the end of with kitchen for storing bikes or walking gear. A bottle of wine, luxury biscuits and milk are awaiting your arrival.

Dining room:

The beautiful dining room has an exposed wall and large original fireplace with ornamental stove and a traditional creel. The original stripped pine cupboard houses games and jigsaws. There is a fully restored Yorkshire Stone flagged floor along with a large original farmhouse dining table with seating for six. This room doubles up as a sung with a relaxing Edwardian chaise and rocking chair, where you can enjoy reading a good book.

The dining room overlooks the rear courtyard area with private parking and furniture, where you can relax with a refreshing drink or dine alfresco.

Bedroom One: 

Enjoying wonderful views of the Worth Valley where you can see the steam from the trains as they travel through the valley. It features a king-size vintage pine bed and a beautiful tiled decorative cast iron fireplace. This room has original Victorian cupboards used as a wardrobe and a dressing table with mirror.

Bedroom Two: 

A lovely bright room with a feature king size bed. There is a large wardrobe and chest of drawers for storage.

Bedroom Three: With twin pine beds and a wardrobe for storage.

Bathroom : 

The perfect place to relax and unwind after a day exploring the beautiful Yorkshire hills. It has a bath and separate shower.

Additional roadside parking available in front of the cottage on a first come, first served basis

Storage for bikes and hiking gear at end of kitchen.

We are a family who live locally to Haworth. We love Haworth village with it's quirky cobbled main street filled with interesting shops and quality cafes, restaurants and pubs. The nearby walks offer breathtaking views and the village is a great central location to explore areas such as Skipton and Harrogate.

Why Julie King chose Haworth

We just fell in love with the property as soon as we saw it. It has some beautiful original features which have been stripped from many properties of a similar age. In addition to it's features, it is spacious and has wonderful views along with parking, yet is on a nice quiet lane. Perfect.

What makes this house unique

Original Victorian features such as plasterwork, curved walls, Yorkshire stone floor and original fireplaces. Cosy wood burning stove. Very close to Haworth main street. Far-reaching views of the worth valley from the rear. Private parking on the rear courtyard.

A beautiful and characterful cottage in a lovely setting

The cottage is very clean and well equipped.

We particularly like the space and the fact that you can park your car nearby,

There is a lot you can do nearby as well as Haworth. There are some good walks and nice villages to visit.

What a beautiful house

We loved the whole week we stayed at Wisteria Cottage. It's a lovely village and everything was within walking distance. The cottage was homely and warm with the log burner and we felt very comfortable. We slept well as it was very quiet, even with Halloween. Julie and Vince could not have done more to be helpful or present a lovely home. I loved the dining room as it was so in character with the house. Wish we could have stayed longer but hopefully we will be able to return. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Thank you so much

A beautiful week in a lovely cottage

Wisteria Cottage is a very well presented and appointed holiday property. It is situated just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Howarth, which is utterly beautiful. The cottage has everything that a visitor would have in their own home, so no compromises need to be made around washing crockery, cleaning clothes, etc.

For cyclists and walkers, the territory is excellent and for those seeking relaxation, the list of attractions to visit is vast.

I can't recommend the cottage highly enough and hope to return soon.

Wisteria Cottage is in the heart of the historic and attractive village of Haworth, West Yorkshire. The area is often called Bronte Country because of its association with the Bronte authors – Emily Bronte, Charlotte Bronte and Anne Bronte. The family moved to the Haworth Parsonage in 1820, which is now the Bronte Parsonage Museum. Haworth Main Street retains many original features including a cobbled Main Street lined with stone cottages. Many are converted to independent shops, cafes and restaurants. There are several pubs in the village including the Black Bull which Branwell Bronte is reputed to have frequented on a regular basis. Haworth also has it’s own micro brewery Haworth Steam Brewery located on the Main Street.

Haworth hosts themed weekends throughout the year, including the hugely popular 1940’s weekend, 1960’s weekend, Steampunk, Scroggling the Holly and the Torchlight Procession.

Haworth also provides an excellent base for exploring both the Bradford, Leeds and Harrogate areas, which boast a wide variety of museums, galleries, and shopping centres. With the Yorkshire Dales National Park less than a 20 minute drive away, you can soon be in rolling countryside.

Bookings are from 3.00pm on the day of arrival to 10.00am on the day of departure. Timing on winter bookings short breaks is flexible. It is helpful if you telephone to notify us of your anticipated arrival time.

In the event of cancellation by the Hirer the deposit (25%) will not be refunded, the balance (75%) will be if the property is re-let.
