The site was strategically chosen to enjoy all the benefits that the town of Lagos has to offer!

Across the road is the award winning Lagos Marina with its excellent bars and restaurants, ATM machines and ticket shops where you can book boat trips, dolphin watching, kayak tours, big game fishing and much more.

A brief stroll over the Marina footbridge brings you to the exciting town of Lagos with all its wonderful typical restaurants and other attractions.

Pingo Doce Supermarket is down the road from the apartment for all your groceries and has a canteen type restaurant with take-aways. The longest beach Meia Praia is within walking distance as are the train/bus stations.

Contemporary décor with an elegant touch, this is a beautiful and extremely well fitted 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment with a modern kitchen and a spacious dining/living area. Included is Wi-Fi Internet and a large 40” Cable TV. All rooms lead out onto a large sunny SW facing balcony with scenic views of the lovely town of Lagos!

The apartment is on the second floor with a lift/elevator and stairs and accessed by a video phone entrance system.

POOL AREA

The apartment is set in a premier condominium with a beautiful outdoor adult and children’s swimming pool equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas and surrounded by an attractive landscaped garden. For convenience there are change room/shower facilities within the pool area.

GETTING AROUND

Excellent location within a few minutes walking distance to major attractions. A 10 minute walk to the train station and 15 minute walk to the main bus depot. The marina, beach, town centre and Pingo Doce supermarket with restaurant/take-away are within 5-10 minutes walk. There is a local bus stop across the road from the apartment and a tourist train at the marina footbridge to take you along the various beautiful beaches.

You could easily rent without a car if you wanted to just focus on experiencing and exploring Lagos. However, we recommend a car in order to explore the beautiful surrounding areas close to Lagos or further along the Algarve.

Lagos is easy to reach from Faro or Lisbon airport with direct bus routes.

ABOUT LAGOS

One of the most popular towns in the Algarve, Lagos is a top holiday destination and has it all! From history to culture, beaches and climate to a lively, easygoing and friendly atmosphere all year round. Steeped in history it was from here that Henry the navigator set sail on his discoveries along with many other Portuguese explorers.

A walk across the Marina footbridge will lead you into the heart of the old town where you will find a very quaint typical Portuguese town with narrow cobbled streets and many shops, bars and restaurants and entertainment. Here you can experience the raw authenticity of Portugal, the daily fish market, the local Tasca, the smell of grilled sardines and seafood toasting on the grill, tiled houses, the clear blue skies and the warm hospitable people.

There are many places of interest to visit such as museums, churches, historical monuments and a mini-zoo for the children. Activities are endless in and around Lagos and include boat trips, dolphin tours, fishing, surfing, diving, kayaking, golf and much more. Lagos is also very popular for hiking and walking trips.

CLIMATE

The Algarve, situated on the extreme South of Portugal, offers gorgeous sandy beaches and glorious sunshine nearly all year-round. With around 300 days of sunshine a year and idyllic temperatures averaging 14ºC in winter and 25ºC in summer - and rarely going below 10ºC during winter and reaching as high as 28ºC or 30ºC in July and August.

This property is legally registered with PortugueseTourism and as such the owners are obliged by Portuguese law to register all guests, as is done in the hotels, with the SEF which is the immigration & border authorities. You will be sent the SEF form to complete and hand in to the owner on arrival. Thank you for your co-operation.

Because of the layout and quality build, the large balcony with wide sweeping views of Lagos and its proximity to everything. We love to go for walks on Meia Praia beach or pop over to the marina for an English breakfast. It’s our smallest but favourite apartment!

  • The master bedroom is spacious with twin beds which zip up to a queen size bed if required and large fitted wardrobe. The mattresses are high quality (orthopedic soft). The glass sliding doors lead out onto the balcony with wide sweeping views of Lagos. The living area has a sofa bed which sleeps two. Sliding doors ensure complete privacy and the bathroom is accessed by both sleeping areas through the hall. The whole apartment is built to a very high standard and equipped with soundproofing, air-conditioning/heating and black out electric shutters, ensuring comfortable holidays throughout the year.

Across the road is the Marina Park Hotel Spa where you can enjoy a variety of beauty treatments, work out in the gym or enjoy their indoor heated pool. The Vila Galé Spa is also a few minutes from the apartment where you can use their facilities as external guests. A variety of holiday activities can be booked at the ticket shop on the marina. Palmares Golf, a links course and internationally acclaimed is a 5 minute drive away and the popular Boavista Golf & Spa Resort, 10-15 minutes away is a lovely resort with championship golf course, spa facilities, à la carte restaurant and a thriving clubhouse. There is also a newly built mini-golf course near the old castle walls.

Incredible Stay in a Beautiful Apartment

This apartment was a good fit for us on many fronts. First, Carla helped us make a smooth transition by waiting and welcoming us at the train station although we were delayed by 45 minutes. Upon arrival at the apartment, we were delighted with the modern and sleek design of it's layout enhanced with a beautiful décor. Carla's orientation was very comprehensive in a way that made us feel as if the place were our own. What's more the apartment was stocked with an abundance of supplies, equipment, spices, etc. The bonus feature is the location. It's a few minutes walk away from the marina where many restaurants are located and a brief walk from there across the foot bridge to the historic district with shops and more restaurants. Finally, a unique aspect of the apartment was being on the top floor with no buildings across the street - just open space. This allowed us to open the slide-in glass doors and let the ocean breeze in when we awoke in the morning and throughout the day. Consequently, we rarely used the air conditioners because we were very comfortable and happy with the natural coolness. We plan to visit Lagos again and this is the place we want to return to.

Just a note for potential guests :) I don't usually pick up guests arriving from the train station due to work commitments, I just happened to be free on the day Bob & Bettye arrived so offered to pick them up. The apartment is a 10-15 min walk from the station and there's also a taxi rank at the entrance for those with lots of luggage.

Excellent accommodation

The apt was very comfortable, well equipped, very modern and clean. The location was close to marina, grocery store and town of Lagos. Carla & Jose were helpful and responsive. Felt very much “at home” in the apartment. Would definitely stay again during next visit to Lagos. Thank you!

Brilliant holiday in an amazing apartment.

From the initial contact with Carla and throughout our two week stay at the end of October, it really was first class all the way.

Communication was straight forward and any queries were answered within hours. The information pack covered everything from using the dishwasher to recommended restaurants.

The apartment itself is modern, super clean and with a relaxing decor. There really is everything you may need from shopping bags (supermarket is 8 mins walk) to cool box (beach is a 10 minute stroll away), from pantry and toiletry items to a sewing kit.

The kitchen was superbly equipped with a huge array of good crockery, glasses and handy gadgets.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the amount of storage was fantastic. It was a real pleasure to open the wardrobes and find high quality wooden hangers and not a muddle of misshapen bent wire ones.

I thoroughly recommend this apartment and we hope to be back next year.

Wonderful Stay and Condo

Carla and Jose were great to deal with and are very helpful and responsive. They think of every detail. We found the bed a little hard and pillows a little small otherwise we would rate this as 5 star. Pool and complex is very nice. Condo is close to grocery store and walking distance to Lagos town and Marina which is very convenient. We were very happy with our stay here and would definitely recommend. Thank you Carla and Jose for making our stay so special.
