Villa Duddova was originally built as a noble mansion in the tiny hamlet of Duddova (one of the smallest and prettiest villages of Italy, with just 17 inhabitants and one small restaurant run by the owners), and has now been carefully retsored to can accommodate up to 12/16 guests in a traditional Tuscan environment with the added bonus of a refreshing private pool. Provided with extensive gardens, a generously sized private swimming pool and offering sensational views over the surrounding hills, Vill Duddova will enchant its guests with its authentic rustic feeling and the soul that only a house rich of history like this can offer. Inside, the property is set over 3 floors.
On the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), a large open plan kitchen / dining area (with a large table for 16 guests) and a functional shower room.
On the first floor there is an impressive lounge (with fireplace, sofas, satellite tv), a further kitchenette, 2 airy double bedrooms providing beautiful views over the pool/countryside and a shower room. A double sofa bed is available on request in the lounge. A sweet balcony has been created from what once used to be a bridge to the servants' accommodation located opposite: a truly delightful location for a refreshing drink at sunset. This floor is directly connected to the lower floor as well as to the outside if more privacy is required.
The upper floor is accessed via a external staircase from the pool area and comprises a living room (double sofa-bed available), 2 double bedrooms with wrought iron beds and panoramic views over the pool and the countryside, a bathroom with shower. High ceilings with wooden beams provide a rustic and traditional feeling.
The private swimming pool, located at the front of the villa and surrounded by a pleasant wooden decking area, attracts sun all day and enjoys beautiful views over the surrounding olive trees and the village of Duddova. It measures 4.5m x 7.5m. A garden with shrubs, flowers, barbecue and al-fresco dining facilities is available for the exclusive use of the guests: this is the best place to enjoy an evening meal pampered by the gentle local breeze (the owner, if required, will be delighted to bring from his restaurant to the villa some delicious Tuscan food). The private swimming pool is be open from the 15th of April until the 15th of October.
