This comfortable house is situated on the edge of the mountain village of Roussospiti, only 6 km from Rethimno and its beautiful long sandy beach. Amarandos Rethimno's Villa is a cozy and hospitable house ready to accommodate all your needs for a tranquil and relaxing stay.

This is a lovely place for walkers and those who seek a quieter authentic village setting. Tavernas can be found in the village of Roussospiti and the nearest minimarket is 5 min away walking distance.

The villa consists of two separate fully furnished 110 m2 apartments that are rented together as one and can accommodate up to 14 people. Each apartment has 3 bedrooms (one with a double bed and two with twin beds -linen and towels available), a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster, coffe-machine, kettle), living-room, bathroom and WC and wide balconies with a fantastic view of the sea. All other electrical appliances that will make your stay pleasant and easy (such as air-condition, TV set, CD player, DVD player, washing machine, iron, blow-drier) are also available. The open plan living/dining area, with a sofa bed, is seperated from the kitchen by a breakfast bar. The bedrooms of each apartment open onto a large shared balcony with mountain, pool, or sea views.

Outside, there is a comfortably arranged swimming-pool area positioned to the rear of the house, with BBQ facilities and outdoor dining furniture, where you can enjoy your meals. It has an amazing 41m2 private pool, 1.80m deep with sun beds and umbrellas to relax and enjoy the greek sun. The swimming-pool is surrounded by a small garden and there is an outdoor shower near. BBQ facilities are also provided at the front yard of the villa.

The villa was built in 1995 by the family of the owners. It was in 2001, after a complete renovation – always with great respect to the natural beauties and attractions of Roussospiti village, that the villa was first used to lodge visitors and tourists. It was the caring and hospitable father of the family, Yannis, who had it going for a two-year period under the name “Villa Dina-Irini”. Due to personal reasons and despite the its overall successful course, the operation was for some time closed.

It is the family of Eirini who decided to renovate once again and re-open the premises. Its new name, “Amarandos”, refers to amaranth or sempre viva, the flower of the everlasting blossom.

Roussospiti is located near Rethimno, at an altitude of 400m. The view from the verandas is truly breathtaking. It’s not for nothing that the whole village is known as “the balcony of Rethimno”. Stretching ahead lies the cretan sea; towering behind is the mountain Vrysinas. Rethimno lies at the very centre of Crete, with an easy access to all places of the island.

The nearest beach is about 6 km away in Perivolia Rethimno. It is a long sandy organized beach with umbrellas and sun beds. Water sports are available in the summer months. There are other also many beaches around that you can visit.
Renting a car is essential.
