Overview

About the property

Garden Cottage offers spacious accommodation with glorious countryside views

This superb cottage has been furnished to a very high standard with the intention of offering a home from home environment. It is set within the grounds of the owner's home in a rural location between Marlborough and Pewsey, Wiltshire. Upstairs, the accommodation sleeps 6 in three bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin (which can be made into a king-size on request) and 1 bunk room. Bathroom with shower over bath and WC. On the ground floor the cottage also features a sizeable lounge with an open log fire and desk area with PC setup, generous kitchen with separate dining area leading to the conservatory with views to the gardens and paddocks. Outside offers an enclosed garden with 2 patios for your leisure as well as ample parking with gate code entry.

Marlborough just 3 miles is a vibrant and progressive market town with its own chic café culture and many independent high quality shops and twice weekly market.

Walkers will enjoy the nearby Savernake Forest and West Woods. Head here during late spring for the bluebells and in autumn for the fantastic colours. The North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty encompasses much of the countryside around Marlborough and there are ample walking and cycling routes throughout this area. Marlborough is also located very close to the Avebury World Heritage Site as well as the Crofton Beam Engines, the world's oldest working beam engines, which regularly hold 'steam up' days.

This convenient central location offers easy access to many other attractions: Salisbury Cathedral, Bath, Longleat Safari Park, Bowood House and Gardens or Newbury Racecourse to name just a few. Alternatively, you can just relax in the peaceful garden or in front of the log fire. You are quite simply spoilt for choice!

Will definitely return

  • 5 of 5

The home was gorgeous and Nikki the owner was lovely and accommodating. My kids especially my 4 year old fell completely in love with the alpacas and looked forward to feeding them daily. There were 3 TVs in the House, 2 in the bedrooms, 1 in the living room. Beds were comfortable and rooms well appointed. Kitchen was large with a lovely conservatory at the back of the house that overlooks the alpacas.

Set in such a beautiful location and in extremely convenient location, we will definitely go back!! Thank you so much Nikki. Hope to see you next year end.

We had an amazing 3 nights in the peaceful cottage. Nikki has made the cottage home from home, with everything you need to enjoy your stay. We will definitely be back. The children loved feeding the Alpacas and sitting on the tractor! Thank you so much x

Clean, comfortable, relaxing. A gorgeous place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay. The cottage is so quiet and peaceful. It was clean, well equipped, the beds were comfortable. Nikki was on hand if needed but left us to enjoy our break. The alpacas and bunnies were great. Nikki was great when i asked to feed the alpacas at short notice. We visited when it was wet and cold. The cottage must surely be idyllic in better weather. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely, cozy and well equipped. Plenty of room for the 6 of us

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay, Nikki was really helpful when needed but otherwise left us to it. My daughter loved being able to help feed the alpacas. The house was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend and return.

Fabulous cottage and owner!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fab weekend in this stunning cottage. The house is great with lots of living space and three good bedrooms- one of which is particularly large. Well appointed and has everything you may need. Lovely open fire in the large lounge.

Nikki is a great host who looks after you really well whilst you are there. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again in fact we definately hope to!

(The kids loved the llamas too!)
