We thoroughly enjoyed our winter 'time-out' - one month stay at your apartment - it was clean quiet with everything provided for for a most comfortable vacation. The nearby options of plentiful bars and restaurants was excellent consequently we were never stuck for choice. The public transport we found to be fantastic value certainly when compared to Scotland! and we utilised it to its utmost - excellent value. We enjoyed some interesting and lovely days out from the nearby convenient estacion Norde (Main train station @7 mins walk).

The weather was great, sunny and dry, although we were happy to enjoy the benefits of the central heating on the cold nights. All in all we both concluded that it was one of our best winter month escapes (10th year) from the vagaries of a northern clime.

Excellent home away from home in Valencia

I've just come back from a 5 night holiday in Valencia and I have to say that the accomodation was excellent. It is just 15 minutes or so away from the airport by metro and even quicker to get to by cab.

The apartment is within walking distance of Plaza del Ayuntamiento and Plaza de la Reina and the closest metro station (Angel Guimera) gives you direct access to the beaches/port and the airport. There is a supermarket very close by (5 mins by foot) and Mercado Central is also accessible if you want fresh produce. Finally, the apartment is situated close to Calle Juan Llorens, which has several late night bars/disco bars.

The apartment is clean and spacious and fully equipped (there is even a DVD player). It has air conditioning, which is must for Valencia in the summer.

Lastly, the owner was very welcoming and friendly and gave useful information on what to see and do while in the city. I would certainly recommend this apartment to friends!

Great central location to metro, clean and cute

Owner was very friendly, kind, and a good communicator. Flat was well equipped for a relaxing stay - with everything you need to cook, and also has a lift and aircon.

Area around the flat had many great little local pubs and restaurants but if you fancy a jaunt into city center it’s a quick tube ride or 5 min taxi for 7 euro.

Will stay again next time I’m in Valencia!

Lovely, clean, spacious apartment.

The apartment was in the perfect location for walking into Valencia. It was quiet, clean and well equipped. We had everything we needed for a lovely peaceful week. The supermarket was very close by. We loved walking into the older part of Valencia and the new and there was a fantastic choice of restaurants and cafes. It was easy to get to the underground and travel further afield. We really enjoyed a visit to Oceangrafic and the science museum.

Excellent, safe, quiet apartment, good location

Had a great one week family holiday in this quiet apartment.The owner, David is very easy to communicate with on email which made payment and travel arrangements straightforward. Although we arrived near midnight, someone was able to meet us (for an extra late charge) and welcome us to the apartment. Taxi from the airport was 22 euros, late at night. It is on the 7th floor of a residential block, has a lift and felt very safe. It was quiet too. Except for a dishwasher, the apartment is equipped with everything you might need. There are two double bedrooms and an extra single low bed which could be used. A cot is available if required. The TV is better than on the photo, a flat screen one which has an option to change the language which meant we could watch some of the dubbed programmes,films, american comedies etc, in the original English language, there was a disney channel for kids too.

There are big and small supermarkets, fruit shops etc very nearby as well as a fabulous new pizza restaurant round the corner with 80 types of pizza on the menu. The kids enjoyed a nutella dessert pizza! It is about 15 minutes walk to the heart of the old town and about 6 minutes to the nearest metro which is a useful station where 3 lines meet. You can get the metro to the airport (about 15 minutes), make sure you buy the correct ticket in advance as we didn't realise the normal city tickets were only for a limited zone and had to pay extra at the airport. The metro station makes it very easy to go to major attractions like Bioparc and the City of Arts and Sciences as there are direct lines. I would recommend X-Door, a fantastic fun experience where you are locked in a room for 60 minutes and have to work as a team to solve clues and unlock items to work out how to escape. No Spanish required, great family fun for all ages. Would recommend the apartment to other people. We rented WiFi (portable data connection)from David for a week. It was really useful as you could carry it around and locate restaurants, maps etc whilst you were out and the kids could play on their electronic games!

dolce far niente in Valencia

We had a very nice stay, we even prolonged our stay by two weeks. The appartement is ideally situated,every store you would need is just behind the corner. The appartment self is as you see it on the photographs. Comfortable and quiet. With a terrace it would be a dream but there are enough terraces nearby just as busses or metro.

Wifi was a problem as we spend time communicating with the fammily. The owner was looking for a solution in the nearby future.

The kitchen is well equiped. The kitchen hood is very noisy and with little result, and that's the only negative point.

The neigbourhood is "spanish" with very friendly people, unspoilt by tourists.

Due to the seasonal vagaries of short-term renting & until very recently exhorbitant fixed charges of internet/monthly line rentals - Spain is 2cd highest within the EU - think monopolistic service providers!, I have been most reticient to install it when I offer two very capable albeit with download limitations 3G WIFi service options (1/ basic & 2/ daily guaranteed 250Mb download) which comprehensively cover the entire city & more...whilst striving to maintain a very competitive rental tariff to include all utilities/management/communal cleaning charges etc. Hopefully out of your two month stay there was just a day or so when you were incommunicado whilst I sorted the other basic WiFi 2Gb router. I am seriously thinking of offfering ADSL fast cable service anytime soon. Thanks for your mention re; extractor/hood I'll take a look & fix it accordingly. I'm very pleased that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay and found the Abastos barrio very friendly. Thanks David.

Good location

We stayed here twice and both times David was there to meet us, he always answered any text/email straight away and was gave us some handy advice about the city.

The apartment was clean, well stocked and everything worked including the air con. We were two minutes from the the tram where we were able to access most parts of the city and catch a direct line to the beach. The area felt safe and if we ever return to Valencia we will stay here again.
