Relaxing and wonderful property

  • 5 of 5

Villa Verita' was a lovely property. We booked the apartment for 2 nights and had a lovely stay. It is very peaceful and quite here and we enjoyed visiting Verona and Venice (by train). Ginevra was very helpful with my many questions and we would love to stay again in the future for a longer time. Her beautiful dog Pero' was a nice addition since I miss our dogs while on holiday. The apartment was very large and had plenty of space for the two of us. The bedroom was huge and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had all the items needed to cook and we enjoyed having breakfast at the apartment both mornings. There are tons of local travel information avaliable in the apartment and Ginevra booked us a lovely dinner at a local restaurant not far from the property.

Thank you for a peaceful and beautiful stay!

Great GetaWay !!

  • 5 of 5

Villa Verita has the charm of a bed and breakfast and the advantages of a hotel with a concierge. Since our Italian was limited, Ginevra’s excellent English and knowledge of the area was most helpful.

Ginevra will take care of your tourism and any other needs. Due to a ski accident in the winter in the nearby Dolomites, we needed medical services, which she quickly arranged.

The apartment is packed with tourist information and maps of the area and nearby cities. We shared our interest with her then she shared updated tourist suggestions and if needed booked for us. If you have a request for something that isn’t easily found, just ask her and she will respond very quickly.

We cooked most of our meals in the apartment and found excellent cooking pans and utensils, as well as basic supplies. We were able to adjust the temperature ourselves so we were very comfortable. We used the Wi-Fi simultaneously with good response

Ginevra made suggestions for places to eat and to find items needed for our stay. For great bread, we highly recommend the bakery, Pacifico run by a local family. Don’t miss it!

We had a car but also used the bus system to Verona often. Ginevra provided bus schedules in the apartment. Tickets can be purchased at any Tobacco shop and there is one in the village gas station.

There are many interesting walks around the nearby vineyards. We could walk to most things we needed (groceries, restaurants, pharmacy, gelato, and in nearby Perona, haircuts). The view from our bedroom was stunning with snow covered mountains in the background on clear days, as is the view from the kitchen to hills and vineyards. We will miss the sound of the church bells and the cookoo bird.

Lastly, the history of the villa and the family owners adds an additional charm to the experience of staying at Villa Verita. Ginevra took us on a guided tour of her brother’s vineyard and a wine tasting at the family estate. On the same trip we visited the nearby village of S. Giorgio with wonderful views and even a distant view of Lake Garda. She also introduced us to a charming ancient church in the piazza.

We highly recommend a stay at Villa Verita. It is easy to take day trips to Lake Garda, Molina, Lessinia and to nearby wineries. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return. Ginevra is the best! She will make your stay very special!!

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We were lucky enough to rent the Villa Verita apartment for two weeks in July and August. The accommodation itself was delightful, and provided all the facilities we needed for a trouble-free self-catering holiday. Ginevra, our friendly host, was always on hand to make sure our stay was comfortable, and to provide us with help and advice when we needed it.

The location of Villa Verita could not be better. It is close to the historic city of Verona, and within easy reach of the natural beauty of the eastern shore of Lake Garda. On the southern edge of the Valpolicella wine region, there are numerous vineyards that can be visited. A variety of shops and restaurants are nearby.

Places that we enjoyed visiting: Venice (90 minutes away by car); Torri del Benaco on the eastern shore of Lake Garda; Salo on the western shore of Lake Garda; Piazza Bra in Verona, for a romantic (if expensive) meal in the shadow of the ancient Arena; Giardino Giusti in Verona; Arco, just north of Riva del Garda.

Places that we were disappointed with: Soave (no bars or restaurants, no people, and a closed castle).

If you stay at the Villa Verita and you are a wine-lover, you absolutely must visit the Serego Alighieri vineyard (owned by Ginevra's family). Ginevra offered the visit to us at the start of our holiday, and we took up the invitation happily. It was one of the highlights of our stay. The wine produced at that vineyard is superb - we could not help but buy some to bring home with us.

If you want to visit Venice (and who wouldn't want to?), make sure you plan the method by which you want to get there. We went there by car, and parked in a large multi-storey car park in the Piazzale Roma in Venice itself; however we could only guarantee a parking space by booking online 5 days ahead of our visit. If you don't want to drive, use the train instead. Ginevra will advise of the best way to get there if you ask her nicely.

All in all, we had a very restful and enjoyable holiday. I know we will be back. And hopefully, we can stay in Ginevra's apartment again.

Sehr empfehlenswert - Absolut recommendable!

  • 5 of 5

The memories fade too soon!!

  • 5 of 5

We chose Ginevra's Villa Verita as our base to explore the Valpolicella region having read the very positive comments expressed by others here, and we concur with everything that has been said.

We flew into Venice, stayed one night there and picked up a hire car. It's an easy 90 minute drive to Villa Verita and although buses do pass the door, a car is essential to make the most of the surroundings. A few trips to Lake Garda, walks in the hills, a day in Verona and the grape harvest in full flow. Delightful.

The apartment was everything we required - restful and comfortable with great character, and as has been said many times, you couldn't wish for a warmer and more welcoming host than Ginevra.

Evenings spent sipping an excellent Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso under the tree - now there's a memory that will take a long time to fade!!

Car: recommended

Villa Verità sheltered by its garden, in the green Valpolicella world famous for its wines Amarone and Recioto, is located 6 km from Verona city centre, with Arena and Opera Festival, Castelvecchio Museum, Romeo and Juliet balcony and the Roman Theatre.

Not far from Garda lake, Gardaland and other famous leisure parks (25 km).

If you love nature, you could easily reach the wonderful and still unknown Mounts Lessini Park (20 km) or the well known Dolomites (50 km).

Perfect starting point to visit the artistic treasures of Vicenza and Palladio (50 km), Padua and Giotto (70 km), Mantua and Gonzaga (35 km) and Venice (100 km) and Brenta Venetian Villas.
