Lovely country home. Great for our party of 8

  • 5 of 5

This gite was so lovely, located next to a beautiful chateau, in a charming village. The home is completely updated and modern, but with the key architectural details highlighted -- exposed beams and rock walls. The kitchen is completely outfitted and worked well to prepare meals for the eight of us. The washer and dryer were great to have. The whole house was clean. The large living area upstairs and the large dining table were great. Quiet location. In the off-season right now, it was simply delightful to walk the chateau grounds with all the spring flowers and blossoms. My family loved staying here and keep asking how I found such wonderful rentals in Europe. Thanks, HomeAway!

Rustic yet modern

  • 3 of 5

As a North American renting a Gite in France was exciting as I wasn't sure what it entailed. The Gite was very cute and spacious. It was remote and connected to a campground with a pool which the kids loved. Unfortunately, we were told there was wifi then told it was temperamental but we could never find the actual wifi we were suppose to connect to. We tried and tried to connect with the owners, they unfortunately never returned our email and we never saw them around the property. First world problems but when being away and trying to plan the rest of your trip via the internet it gets quite difficult. I would go B&B while travelling around Normandy as it is more social, a bit less (we were charged extra for towels and sheets so read all the instructions)money and the B&B includes breakfast. Great experience but we don't know the ways of the French vacationers.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your message. We are really sorry for internet connection problems that you encountered during your stay. If you called us, in the evening, we would come to solve the problem immediately. Our phone number is in the welcome guide that i present when new families arrive.I understand that it was very important for planning your travel. During the summer season, customers can also contact our reception, during the day. We will try to improve our service for our future clients. We will try to communicate better, also on the rental of linens. Thank you for your understanding and hope that your stay in Normandy will remain a good memory.

  • 5 of 5

Cordialement.
