Sunset Blvd has many offerings for eateries, cafes, shops and such. This is our 4th VRBO listing, please check out the attached links to my other property's so you can read the reviews!
Hi, my name is Gisele. My husband, Guy and I have a couple of VRBO property's. We are quite happy hosting our guests. We have lived in Silver Lake for about 15 years now. I am a Los Angeles native, one of the few left :)! We love this area for its architectural diversity, neighborhood feel, eclectic neighbors, and a great place to live. Feel free to ask for any suggestions of restaurants to where to go for fun!
This property is located in Echo Park. Just East of Silver Lake. It's funny, SL used to be the place to be, and now it just seems OK. Echo Park is the new place to be. It has new restaurants, clubs, bars and a new Lassen's Natural food market! There are always people walking around during the day and night, exploring all that Sunset Blvd has to offer. As well the historic Echo Park Lake is a great destination for a lovely walk around the lake or rent a paddle boat!
This 1920's Era home was built in a time that true craftsmen built homes. It has beautiful wood details in the trim and built ins. Yet it offers all of the comforts of home.
I booked this property as well as the one next store (both through same Property Manager) for my parent's and me to visit my family. The location is great. Walking distance to all the great restaurants on Sunset, 2 grocery stores and 2 parks and a quick drive to the new 365 Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. The house was just right and had everything I needed, including plenty of space to have my family over for dinner. We will definitely stay here again.
Property was adequate but not very clean. The bed was comfortable and the linens very clean. Was cold although we were there when it was unseasonably cold.
Let's just say this place met all our expectations. We even arrived to fresh flowers and a sweet note greeting us from the owners!!! This place offered us a perfect location, walking distance to restaurants and coffee, was very clean which matters to me, all the amenities and very sweet decor, wood floors throughout, dining table, full kitchen and even air conditioners that were definitely appreciated. Loved the fresh towels!!!
We would stay here again for sure. Can't say enough.. But thank you!!!
Gisele very nice to deal with. Neighborhood felt safe. However, house is in serious need of rebabing and updating. Black mold in grout of bath/shower and the kitchen. No reading lights in bedroom or living room. No light weight blanket to sleep under, only heavy comforter. Air conditioner and heat source are very dirty. If you want something other than going home and falling in the hot bed, keep looking.
This was a great place to stay both for the cozy house and the accessibility to Los Angeles attractions. This is a sweet old house that has all its original charm. There is a organic market and several coffee shops within walking distance, it's right off Sunset which was fun, and it was close to downtown and Hollywood. It was also nice, as tourists, to park our car off the street. I especially want to commend the comfortable bed and great towels. Gisele was an efficient and helpful host.
Echo Park is Silver Lake's hip new neighbor. Once SL was the place to be, now it is Echo Park. There is a beautiful & historic lake with paddleboats and a lovely lighted walkway surrounding it. The vistas are incredible from Downtown to the Mountains. Sunset Blvd runs through Echo Park with it's selection of eateries, bars, cafe's, shops and attractions. We are in a walking friendly neighborhood within a couple blocks of the Lake and Sunset Blvd.
