Fabulous holiday villa with sea views and WIFI and walking distance into the port of Javea. Sleeps up to 8 people.

Traditional “hippie-chic” Mediterranean villa, located in the port in one of the best areas in Javea and enjoying wonderful sea views from the covered terrace and pool. No need to use the car while you are at Mezquida as it located very close to the port. You can walk down to the local tapas bars and restaurants in 5 minutes and the port´s La Grava pebble beach is just a 10 minute walk away.

The villa divided into 2 separate self-contained apartments, each accommodating 4 people.

The traditional villa has 2 double bedrooms, bathroom and shower room, an open-plan kitchen, lounge-diner leading to a covered terrace and a private pool with sun loungers. At garden level there is a modern 1 bedroom apartment with a double bedroom, lounge with sofa bed, open-plan kitchen and shower room. The villa is ideal for 2 families or for families with younger adults who can come and go without disturbing the rest of the household.

Great location but the villa was tired, felt small and had several irritating faults.

The location of the villa was great. Just a 10 minute walk to the lively port area of Javea with it's excellent choice of shops, bars and restaurants. This was the best feature of the villa. The pool and deck area with views across the town to the see was good as well. However, the plants around the pool were very scruffy and looked like they had been neglected over the winter, the sun-lounges were good but sandy with somewhat grubby cushions. The pool was in full shade by 6.00pm every evening (mid July) and with some careful pruning of overhanging trees this could easily have been extended. Indeed the whole of the deck area was in shade before 7.00pm. The outside dining area was good with nice views to the sea. Inside the main part of the villa felt small to us and not well laid out. The two bedrooms were small and the kitchen area was poorly planned with limited space if more than one person was in it. The crockery was fine but the cutlery was of a very cheap basic standard. We had problems with the fridge and coffee machine and the managing agents did act very quickly to replace both although it really shouldn't have been necessary. On the last night and departure morning we had no hot water. The TV had free to view Spanish channels plus an assortment of German channels but no English langue channels. There was no air-conditioning in the lounge area which would have been preferable. Disappointingly there was no instruction manuals for any of the appliances such as the oven, TV (which had 4 different remotes) and on using the wifi. It took 6 attempts from the managing agents before we were given the correct password for the wifi. The downstairs apartment smelt musty when we first arrived and was quite dark although some of the bushes across the windows were trimmed part way through our stay. The bed had a broken leg (which was again replaced very quickly). We couldn't get the oven to work so just cooked upstairs. The downstairs apartment is under the pool decking area and does feel very separate from the main villa upstairs. Overall, with a bit of attention, this could be a very good villa with a great location but for the price we paid we felt the quality was lacking.

Beautiful villa and fab location on a hill with a lovely view.

Easy key collection even though office was closed and instructions to villa were great.

Villa was equipped well and we loved the one bedroomed apartment downstairs. Would be great for teens as it's fully self contained.

A few steps in the main villa and outside to pool so wouldn't recommend for elderly or very young children.

There is a car park at the bottom of the hill which is great for parking when you need to do a supermarket shop! Walk to port in about 15 mins, all down hill.

We will definitely return to this villa.
