Barns close to Trevone beach and Padstow

About Vivien Taylor
We developed these barns in 2004 and we spend a great deal of our family lives there. Our family think of Tregerrin as our "spiritual" home, and it was also the first of 14 individual homes we have since completed from Cornish stone barns. They’re a bit addictive!
Vivien Taylor purchased this Cottage in 2003
Why Vivien Taylor chose Padstow
The Times once described this place as the "Hamlet of Tregerrin" in a walking review but there are only 3 properties here, the other being a small cottage further up the track. This place feels so peaceful, where the only passers by are walkers, and at night only the Barn and Tawny owls and the distant crash of the surf intrude. It's magical.
What makes this Cottage unique
I suppose that the position of Tregerrin is it's greatest asset. A short walk to Trevone beach, but far enough away from it to feel secluded; a lovely walk into Padstow across the fields, so you can leave you car behind; great walking along the coast either west to all the easily reached beaches close by-Harlyn, Constantine, Booby's, or east around the headland to Padstow and the estuary; or the sense of freedom children have at Tregerrin; and.... well I could go on!

We had an amazing stay at the Lynhay cottage. It was a very peaceful relaxing holiday for us. If you want some peace and quiet, this is the place! The cottage is well equipped and we felt immediately home. A fabulous cottage for our base to Cornwall with a footpath passing by for the walks to Padstow, to Trevone beach and the Coast Path. We would love to come back and see more! And now to make clotted cream in the AGA ;-). We would highly recommend staying in the Tregerrin Barns.
Super nice stay with kids
We loved our stay at Trevone! It is an incredibly peaceful and idyllic place. The cottage is super cosy and has everything one needs! Perfect with Kids, surrounded by nature and super close to the coast and endless walks!
Tranquility in Padstow
We stayed in the Linhay in May and absolutely loved the secluded location and the rustic interior of the barn. It comes complete with everything you need and even has an Aga (great for drying clothes as well as cooking!). With the underfloor heating and log burner you'll never go cold.
The Linhay and the barn next door are located in a rural spot surrounded by fields so you have complete privacy and tranquility. The small garden attracts an abundance of bird life and if you are lucky you might see one of the owls which nest in the barn.
It is a great spot for walking, minutes from Trevone Bay and a short walk to Padstow (we drove there in minutes). At the end of the road is a farm shop stocked full of beautiful local produce, meats, gins and vegetables.
Highly recommend and we can’t wait to return!
Wonderful quiet retreat
A lovely quiet farm cottage with plenty of accessible walking around North Cornwall's coastline. It is close to Padstow for restaurants/shops as well as walking distance to a great beach at Trevone and others around the coast towards Bedruthan Steps.
The cottage is really well equipped and presented. I think we will be returning again soon!
This place is a little piece of heaven. In the middle of fields, but close to beaches and to Padstow. Stylish, comfortable and the perfect antidote to busy life. We stayed in the Lynhay which has spectacular views across the fields. We became a bit obsessed with the barn owls, who have a nest in the end of the barn. Waiting for them to go hunting and watching her sitting on her eggs on the owl cam was just brilliant. The steel barn was fantastic for the kids with football nets and basketball, not to mention the all ages table tennis tournament. The walks from this place are fabulous, especially around the headland for a pastie and pint in padstow. The farm shop at the end of the road is well stocked with local produce. The beaches and surf are superb. There is so much to do for all ages. We have been here many times and will keep coming back. Happy happy days.....

All our reviews seem to end up on the Barn listing not the Lynhay so if you want to see the reviews please look on the barn page....they are good !
