Spend time golfing on the par 72 championship golf course, or take the kids on a golf date at the Pitch and Putt. Take a dip in one of the three community pools and then relax in one of the hot tubs. Shoot some hoops at the basketball courts, challenge your family to a volleyball game or disc golf, or try your luck at the catch and release trout pond. The San Tan Mountain Regional Park, 10,000 acres, is 8 miles away and has a multitude of hiking trails. No matter what you desire... there is something for everyone at Johnson Ranch.
This 1600+ square foot home built in 2004 features leather furnishings, 9 foot ceilings, ceramic tile flooring and 3 spacious patios in a private backyard. It is a 5 minute walk to the closest community pool and a 3 minute walk to the nearest playground. Numerous stores are a 5 minute drive or a 10 minute bike ride away. Expansive hiking trails are a short 10 minute drive.
Your vacation home has three bedrooms, two baths and a double attached garage. There is even a playpen, booster seat and umbrella stroller for the little one... so you can pack a little lighter. In the garage, you will find 2 bicycles, numerous water toys, misc putters and irons for the pitch and putt golf course, and even a couple of Frisbees for the Frisbee golf course.
When it's time to eat, and you can prepare a fabulous meal in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with breakfast bar and dining table, or dine alfresco on the patio and BBQ your meal. Or just head out to one of the many restaurants just minutes away.
And when you aren't outside enjoying the Arizona sun and many amenities the community offers, you can relax in comfort on the leather furnishings watching the television, complete with DVD player. WIFI is provided. You won't want to leave...
I've owned this home since 2006. I have spent several winters there and loved it! You can walk to the pool, play free pitch and putt, golf, enjoy outdoor dining on the back patios or at local restaurants. If you're a hiker, there is a large regional park just a short 10 minute drive away.

This home is located in a peaceful, family neighborhood. The terrain is flat for easy walking or bike riding. There are miles of sidewalks and paved bike paths throughout Johnson Ranch.
I used to live in AZ, so when we return, we like to be away from the crowds. This home is perfect for bike rides, desert sunsets, and the area gets more exciting every 6 months when we visit. The short walk to the pool is great. We havent fought for a sunbathing lounger yet and always meet friendly neighbors. More restaurants open each year, but the nearby grocery store helps us have light lunches and relaxing breakfasts outside.
Walking in was like staying at your own house, nicely decorated, clean and I lovely back yard. We had a few minor issues that the owner responded to very quickly and resolved them.. Convenient to local restaurants and grocery stores. Highly recommend this home for your home away from home.
I stayed at this place because I was waiting to move into my new home. After the first day there I noticed that there was a dead bird in the backyard. I put it in the trash can so that my girls weren't scared. After that experience I was a bit turned off but unfortunately I had to stay somewhere. We bought a house and the house we sold closed much sooner than anticipated and we were left scrambling to find a place for a few days. I got the rental with the anticipation that we would close after 8 days. Unfortunately the closing process took longer and we needed a place to stay a few days longer. Of course it would be easiest to stay where I was already so I asked for an extension. The owner was annoyed and asked why. I told her my situation and she told me I would have to get cash right away and that the VRBO was not set up for instant booking. She gave me an extension as long as I got her property manager cash before her cut off time of 6:00. Unfortunately her property manager failed to get back in touch with me so I needed to be out at 11am the next day. I was freaking out since I had my dogs and kids. Finally last minute after paying for another place she said I could stay. I ended up getting my money back from the other place and decided to stay. Also after a couple days her property manage came over as my husband was leaving and she had a key. My husband called me concerned. I immediately emailed Cathy and she told me the property manager wanted to meet us. I told her no one was there and I don't appreciate her coming in without us there. Cathy then told me the property manager needed to get into the backyard and that the property manager left a note. I never got a note or an email. Again they came into the house without us being there. It was a complete invasion of our privacy. Then on the day we checked out Cathy emailed me accusing me of having puppies and that I need to explain myself. She said her neighbors told her. I felt as if I was being spyed on my her neighbors the whole time I was there. The day we left she had her property manager waiting outside and watching us leave. It gave us a very uneasy feeling as we left. I don't recommend staying at her rental. It was not a relaxing environment and full of unnecessary stress.
The house was very nice. It was just liking walking into your own home away from home. The owner was fantastic to work with. She gave us information on the area and places to visit. Very nice experience .
Clean, well appointed and decorated home. Close to groceries, gas and pool. What else do you need? With the new HW 24, it is easier to get into Mesa, but also found it very easy to get places by using the Gantzel/Ironwood highway North to I-60. We had a 3 wk stay and found plenty to do. Local(in community) golf course was great. San Tan Flats is an awesome eatery with excellent service. Also ate at Encanterra Golf Course the night before we left. One of the best meals I've had in a while at very reasonable pricing.(4 stars) Overall, we had 3 couples in the house and all enjoyed themselves a lot. The third bedroom only has a fold out sofabed, but everyone faired well. Lots of games(we left a new one also) and the back yard was beautiful...nice BBQ.
