About Stephanie Fitzwilliams

We spent 2 years looking for the right property in many locations, including abroad, and fell in love with this apartment. The location is quite outstanding and the views from all windows are exceptional. Ilfracombe is ideal for walkers, cyclists and holiday makers looking for a relaxing beach holiday, or, for the more energetic, there are fantastic surfing beaches just down the road. We are within a couple of minutes walk of the famous Tunnel Beaches which is nestled amongst the most beautiful setting where they hold weddings and events. Even during the winter months we have found that there are still activities going on and the coastal walks are beautiful. We are a busy family with 2 children and a dog and we always look forward to coming down and re-charging our batteries. If you book our apartment, we hope you will find it as tranquil and idyllic as we do.

Our apartment is located literally on the water front. We are on the top floor and the views are phenomenal from every window. We can see out to sea towards the Welsh coastline, out over the town of Ilfracombe and also towards the Harbour. We have secure gated parking, lift access and when the weather proves chilly, underfloor heating. The apartment has everything you should need for a relaxing stay and an added bonus is that there is plenty to see and do within walking distance. Saunton Sands, Woolacombe Bay and Croyde Bay are a short drive away and we are not far from train stations that can take you to London or down to Cornwall.

What makes this apartment unique

What makes this apartment unique is the layout and outlook. We have a turret on one side looking out over the sea and a tower on the other side looking out towards the town and harbour. When you open the door to the living room, it is hard to choose where to sit as the views are just spectacular! The balcony looks out over the sea and the town and feels private being up on the 4th and top floor. The main bedroom has windows the length of the room overlooking nothing but sea. Having secure gated parking is a bonus as the car parks in the Summer months get very busy.

Incredible location, very comfortable and spacious apartment.

We visited Ilfracombe for a wedding in the Tunnels (a wedding venue only a few minutes walk away). We were more than delighted with our choice of accommodation. This is probably the best located property in Ilfracombe. It's on the top floor of a building prominently placed overlooking the town and coastal areas. The view is a 270 degree panoramic one which we couldn't take our eyes off!!! Furthermore the apartment is very cosy and spacious. We were 5 people and we were not crowded. It was a very cold and wet weekend (Easter) but the apartment was nicely warm and cosy. It's well equipped and appointed. It's also very handy for the town; just a few minutes walk to the main area and the harbour. We dined at the Quay which we would recommend and at the Watersmeet Hotel in Woolacombe, where the food was high quality but was a more formal environment. Lots of walks to do if the weather was better; we only ventured on the magnificent beach at Woolacombe! Overall, a great weekend and we recommend this apartment wholeheartedly.

Fantastic apartment with spectacular views

We spent there 3 wonderful days and have to admit that the apartment is very well equipped with great facilities. Each room is with view, either you can see the sea or the town, or in the case of the living room you can see both.

We arrived late in the night and thanks to the booklet provided it was easy to get in. It was very thoughtful to have a welcome pack on our arrival containing champagne, cappuccino, biscuits and milk. It was a great fun to explore our surroundings with the telescope we found in the flat. Location is great too: town centre, harbour, nice restaurants and pubs are just a few minutes walk away.

We loved to wake up in the morning for the roar of the waves and to watch the sunrise from the living room.

This apartment had everything we needed. Comfort and relaxation in a superb location. The best views in Ilfracombe from every room. Yes I'm a poet, but it is justified in every way!

The property is very modern and ideal for couples. It has amazing views over both sea and the town

We had mixed weather but staying in is almost like going out when you can sit in the warm and look at the views. There are some really interesting places to see with the ladies bathing pool and the Damien Hirst statue both being an unexpected surprise. There are also some good places to eat .... but more information in the apartment information on local eateries etc would have been useful. Better weather would have made it perfect.
