The apartment is within short walking distance of the sea front, harbour and town with all of its restaurants, cafes, shops, cinema and theatre. There is secure gated parking and lift access to the apartment.

About Stephanie Fitzwilliams

We spent 2 years looking for the right property in many locations, including abroad, and fell in love with this apartment. The location is quite outstanding and the views from all windows are exceptional. Ilfracombe is ideal for walkers, cyclists and holiday makers looking for a relaxing beach holiday, or, for the more energetic, there are fantastic surfing beaches just down the road. We are within a couple of minutes walk of the famous Tunnel Beaches which is nestled amongst the most beautiful setting where they hold weddings and events. Even during the winter months we have found that there are still activities going on and the coastal walks are beautiful. We are a busy family with 2 children and a dog and we always look forward to coming down and re-charging our batteries. If you book our apartment, we hope you will find it as tranquil and idyllic as we do.

Our apartment is located literally on the water front. We are on the top floor and the views are phenomenal from every window. We can see out to sea towards the Welsh coastline, out over the town of Ilfracombe and also towards the Harbour. We have secure gated parking, lift access and when the weather proves chilly, underfloor heating. The apartment has everything you should need for a relaxing stay and an added bonus is that there is plenty to see and do within walking distance. Saunton Sands, Woolacombe Bay and Croyde Bay are a short drive away and we are not far from train stations that can take you to London or down to Cornwall.

What makes this apartment unique

What makes this apartment unique is the layout and outlook. We have a turret on one side looking out over the sea and a tower on the other side looking out towards the town and harbour. When you open the door to the living room, it is hard to choose where to sit as the views are just spectacular! The balcony looks out over the sea and the town and feels private being up on the 4th and top floor. The main bedroom has windows the length of the room overlooking nothing but sea. Having secure gated parking is a bonus as the car parks in the Summer months get very busy.

Five star accomadation with amazing views

We arrived Friday evening and found the place with absolutely no problems as the owners had provided us with excellent detailed instructions on how to get there. Loved the off road parking with the cool electric gates making it very secure. The flat is on the top floor and we decided to use the the very handy lift. Inside we were amazed how homely and welcoming the flat is but also with lots of modern touches. The art work and photos in the walls work really well. We loved being able to use the balcony overlooking Ilfracombe bay and town very romantic setting and listening to the sea. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone who wishes to have that extra special experience whilst holidaying here. Will certainly be looking to return soon.

Lousy weather, lovely apartment!

Wonderful holiday apartment, very well and sensibly equipped. Probably the best position in the building. Couldn't get much closer to the sea and, as the weather was spectacularly stormy most of the time, was a splendid place to be and to come back to when we did venture out. Lots of nice touches of quality. Much of Ilfracombe was shut but still managed to find interesting places to visit and eat out. Will definitely have to try it again in better weather.

We had a lovely week here. Amazing to wake up to such a beautiful view of the sea. Wonderful views from lounge and dining area too. The flat is equipped with everything you can think of and we will definitely be returning

The apartment is spacious, relaxing with every mod con.

We have spent a wonderful week exploring Ilfracombe and surrounding area. The views are stunning and the sound of the sea is amazing. We found a good restaurant in the town, visited the cinema (Bridgit Jones's Baby) and listened to the Barnstaple Male Voice Choir in Emmanuel Church. The Tunnels/Beaches are a must. We will have to visit again as we didn't have time to fit in a trip to Lundy! We will recommend the apartment to our friends as the parking and security are important as well as the peace and quiet.

Fabulous Views!

We thoroughly enjoyed being able to watch the boats coming and going from the crows nest type views from this apartment. Having a dedicated secure car park was a great benefit and lift access to the 4th floor. Some hand rails by the steps into the apartment and in the ensuite shower would have made things easier for the 2 elderly members of our party. We also found it odd that the bedroom doors opened outwards into the corridor and that the over bath shower in the second bathroom had no shower screen.

Having said all of that the views and generally high fit out made our stay most enjoyable and we would certainly go back.
