If outdoor activities are not your cup of tea, this New Forest holiday apartment allows you to enjoy the spectacular views of the Damerham countryside from your very own patio.The garden is alive with wildlife from badgers and deer, to our own chickens who will lay you fresh eggs for your breakfast. With the New Forest only 5 minutes drive away, Bournemouth and the south coast approximately 30 minutes in one direction and the medieval market city of Salisbury in the other Damerham makes an excellent base for your perfect getaway.You can enjoy wonderful sunrises or sunsets from your own patio. Just turn up, relax and let your holiday begin.

About Carol Vincent

Hello My name is Carol Vincent and I am married to Barry. We have been married for over 30 years. We have 1 son James. We have been running Damerham Self Catering since 2013 with many guests returning year after year.

We enjoy nothing more than to meet with our guests at the end of the day over a cup of tea or a glass of wine and chat about the day, that's why most of our guests leave as friends... but if you prefer not to chat that's ok with us.

Why Carol Vincent chose Damerham

Greenbanks is set in what we think is a perfect village location. We used to visit friends who lived in the village and once we arrived we were under the spell that Damerham casts over you and we never wanted to leave. There is always something to enjoy in the village. We have Snowdrop Weekend where you can admire the snowdrops everywhere, especially around the Church Yard, we have a Duck Race at Easter that runs along the banks of the River Allen through the village, then there is potato day and of course our annual village fair to name but a few. We are lucky enough to have very low levels of light pollution so it is an ideal spot to sit out at night and watch the night sky, maybe even make a wish on a shooting star.

What makes this apartment unique

The accommodation has a comfortable bedroom with a double bed with all your linen included and plenty of storage space. Your en-suite has a large shower with toiletries and towels supplied. A well equipped kitchen with full size oven and hob, your dining table and chairs allows you to sit and look out of the patio doors. The lounge has a comfortable sofa and a 32" colour TV which leads out of the patio doors and onto your own patio.

Sitting on your patio in the morning you can enjoy your morning cuppa watching the sunrise quietly over the trees and in the evening a favorite spot for our guests is by the pond watching the ducklings having their first swimming lessons.

We have our own chickens who will lay you fresh eggs for your breakfast. Barry is a keen gardener and enjoys growing lots of veg and salads which are there for you to pick and enjoy, please help yourselves there is always more than enough to go around.

Wonderful accommodation set in delightful countryside

A warm welcome from Carol as she showed us around our accommodation, a few essentials she'd laid on as well as a delicious bottle of fizz, this was the start of our wonderful stay in Greenbanks 2. Double aspect windows in the main living area make the beautiful countryside views a delight to behold. Allowing you to see the buttercup pastures that surround the property, wildlife wanders through the garden pheasants and a hare!

The spacious double bedroom and on suite, walk in shower very luxurious. The ample storage space was great and easily took all our outfits.

The kitchen area has everything you could need, the microwave was great for making porridge in the morning. I enjoyed looking out of the window at the chickens while I was washing the dishes ( their eggs were delicious) .

Greenbanks is well within reach of the coast, we visited "The Beach House " in Milford on sea, great place for lunch or just coffee on the terrace, which has views of the Isle of White across ( on that day) a sparkling sea. Our satnav brought us back through the new forest, I hadn't realised how large an area it is, quite a few tiny foals were spotted.

We also visited some lovely local pubs, We especially liked The George in Fordingbridge, great food and service. It sits next to the bridge with a patio overlooking the river Avon .

We were lucky with great weather for our stay and would recommend Greenbanks 2 as a great place for relaxing and recharging your batteries 😊.

Perfect place to stay really enjoyed ourselves here Pub just down the road very good.

Lovely

The property was clean, well equipped and welcoming. Carol really had thought of everything! Perfect location to explore the New Forest, we also had a trip into Bournemouth which was easy. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a quiet get away!
