About the property

Cotswold Manor - sleeps 20 guests in 10 bedrooms

Cotswold Manor is a charming early 17th Century Jacobean style Manor House set within two acres of beautifully maintained formal gardens and grounds. The Grade II Listed house has been sympathetically restored and has a wealth of original features; including beautiful exposed beams, an original bread oven, Cheese room and a secret passageway. The Manor and it's immediate surrounds are steeped in history.

On arrival, an enclosed, flagged, courtyard area leads to the main kitchen door, to the right of which you will find the original Cheese room to the Manor, now used as an enormous walk in larder and boot room. The Banqueting Hall, with its beautiful stone floor and open fire, can seat 20 guests in comfort - ideal for those special occasions and catered feasts The Manor also boasts two cosy reception rooms and a large well-appointed breakfast kitchen with log burner.

On the first floor, there is a master bedroom suite with a four poster superking bed, an adjoining twin bedroom, en-suite bathroom and a further double bedroom accessed through the bathroom. King bedroom with ensuite bathroom. King bedroom. Single bedroom. Separate bathroom.

On the second floor, there is a triple bedroom with ensuite bathroom, a double bedroom, twin bedroom and double bedroom suite with shared bathroom.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a fabulous time thank you - the house was perfect for a group of 16 aged 2-83. Most importantly my parents will long remember their Golden Wedding Anniversary weekend.

May I also give a mention in despatches Julie and Nigel who gave us such a warm and helpful reception at the house.

Beautiful, comfortable house

Great house with ample space for four families. We were very comfortable and loved the beautiful house and garden. The kids loved the hot tub! We would definitely go again.

Other Activities:

Racing fans can enjoy the atmosphere at Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon, Worcester and Warwick. All within easy reach, they make a great day out for all ages.

The delights of historic Stratford-upon-Avon are only 11 miles away with the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Ann Hathaways cottage, Bancroft Gardens and the Stratford & Avon canal to name but a few.

The Cotswolds with their honey coloured cottages, nearby spas and quirky shops makes a fascinating base for a relaxing holiday. The area has long been known for it's market gardening and orchards and during the spring the blossom is a wonderful sight.

Mentioned in the Doomsday book the immediate area had a population of 18. The local church is believed to have been built in the 12th century and the Tithe Barn which is situated opposite The Manors rear courtyard, is an early 14th century farm building which is now owned by the National Trust. This is definitely worth a look during your stay.

There are plenty of walks to enjoy right from the house and the local pub is just a stroll away and the nearby farm shop provides an assortment of local specialities.
