Fabulous villa, lovely village and very well placed for trips into Bordeaux.

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for our stay at your lovely villa. The house itself is spotless and beautifully decorated with everything that you could need. The pool and gardens are stunning, the photos don't do it justice. The villa is conveniently placed for a two minute walk into the small village for the bakery or for dinner, or for a trip into Bordeaux (less than 15 euros in a taxi - we had no problems getting an uber).

Thank you Patrick for the wine recommendations - much appreciated, and for both of your hospitality over the week. It was lovely to meet you both. We hope to return very soon.

Spacious property with beautiful gardens and pool

  • 5 of 5

We were a party of 8 adults and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their holiday. The house is very well equipped with everything needed for self catering and we enjoyed three barbecues in the garden. The interior of the house is very spacious and the only fault we could find was that some members of the party would have preferred firmer mattresses on the beds.

The weather was incredibly hot during our stay and we spent a lot of time by the pool . However we managed to visit St Emilion and the Medoc and also travelled into Bordeaux twice on a No. 62 bus which leaves from near the fountain. The fare was only 3.2 Euros return. We ate out in the evening at the local pizzeria and Auberge du Marais, both recommended.

The owners of the house are charming and exceptionally helpful.

Relaxing Bordeaux base for a perfect wine tour/relaxing holiday

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful old building, well proportioned for multiple people to relax in comfort in a sleepy little village. I can’t sleep in a baking building without airconditioning but even at 36c outside, it isn’t needed, this old building with really thick walls kept the heat out nicely. There is a lovely restaurent/bar, a pizzaria and a Michelin star within a 5 minute walk, your also just a 5 minute drive down the hill to a supermarket. All the facilities you need to cater for yourself, indoors or outdoors are provided and there is a lovely pool, garden and bbq to enjoy. You can catch a bus from the square into Bordeaux or Uber will come and get you if preferred. Located close to the main road network, you can get to the left or right bank, St Emillion or down to Graves pretty easilly and your close to the main road network. We’ve been twice now and have every reason to go again don’t BUT... If I wax to lyrical about how nice this place is it could become popular and then I may struggle to bet a future booking...
