Surrounded by landscaped gardens, Elm Lodge is located in a quiet part of the development with the children's adventure playground and indoor games room only a short walk away. There are lovely villages around the water park with beautiful scenery and lovely pubs. Cirencester is a short drive away and offers several supermarkets, lots of lovely coffee shops, great shopping and lovely restaurants.

About Kirstie

I'm a professional mum of 3 young children. I grew up in the Cotswolds and know the area very well. I love the Cotswold water park and infact as a child I learnt to sail and windsurf on the lake next door to Elm Lodge!

As a family we have travelled the World extensively, including living and working overseas, but decided to return to the Cotswolds for good as we missed the rolling hills and the gorgeous towns and villages and wanted our children to grow up in this area.

I love being a host and building relationships with our guests. I also enjoy providing them with a fantastic experience of this beautiful part of the World.

Why Kirstie chose South Cerney

I fell in love with Elm Lodge the first time I saw it - its a great place to unwind, watch the birds, listen to the fountain and switch off from everyday life - that is what I hope to share with my guests.

What makes this house unique

There is nothing better than waking up to the view of the lake from the master bedroom window. We love taking a stroll around the site, playing tennis, trying out a new water sport such as stand up paddle boarding at South Cerney Outdoor centre. Then finishing off the day with a BBQ in the sunshine on the decking watching the birds on the lake as the sun sets.

Guestbook comments from the owner

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a great time staying at the Elm Lodge. It is s beautiful setting with so many lakes nearby and so many great water activities. Kirstie was a real pleasure to communicate with and her lodge is incredibly well equipped with movies, games, puzzles, small sporting/beach equipment. Was really a great pleasure.

A beautifully appointed property in a wonderful location.

  • 5 of 5

Elm Lodge was a great base for our holiday giving us unfettered access to the scenic Cotswolds and its picture postcard and historic villages. Everything we needed in a holiday home was provided - from the welcoming gifts to recreational sports equipment and DVDs. It's location was beautiful and we've happy memories of meals on the veranda in the sunshine with the geese swimming nearby.

It also gave us easy access to the neighbouring water sports facilities aswell as the town centre of Cirencester ten minutes away. Thanks for everything Kirstie.

Gorgeous property in an amazing setting!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Elm Lodge, it was very clean, very comfortable and very well equipped. We were lucky enough to have some sun which we enjoyed on the south facing deck watching the swans and ducks on the lake right in front of us. Our teenage daughters loved the table tennis and we all enjoyed the games room on site. We visited the recommended villages of Bibury and Burford and they are just beautiful. Bibury is the most photographed village in England and we could see why. Foodwise we ate at The Old Boathouse Pub just opposite the entrance to Isis Lakes and had a lovely meal there. We also got a takeaway from a Thai restaurant called Jicsaw which was really good.

We will defintely be back (would love to see it in summer!) and thank you very much Kirstie for the lovely cookies and Easter Egg!
