Looking out over the Port of Mahon from a magnificent viewpoint, VILLA MIRANDA is the ideal property for families and groups of friends who want to enjoy their holidays in Menorca in the exquisite surroundings of Cala Llonga , the most exclusive urbanization of the island.
Incorporated in MENORCA SELECT's Club in 2016, VILLA MIRANDA has been completely redecorated and equipped by THE ORANGERIE Studio, offering the same quality standards as the rest of our properties on the island: Air conditioning, WIFI, high quality bed linen and towels, comfortable mattresses, electrical appliances, sun loungers and high-end outdoor furniture, etc. Additionallyl, VILLA MIRANDA is elegantly decorated with furniture and unique pieces, with the Mediterranean and cosmopolitan air that characterizes all our projects on the island.
But if the interiors of VILLA MIRANDA offer amplitude, clarity and comfort, the spectacle of the panoramic views of the Port from its three large terraces, lounge, kitchen, etc, it is simply superb. At any time of day, for breakfast or lunch, while we sunbathe or read a book in the shade, is a delight to contemplate from our private vantage point the comings and goings of small fishing boats, sailboats and cruisers, the same as a dinner on the terrace as we contemplate the sunset over Mahon and the harbour lights at night. Or take a water taxi to cross over to the nearby quay of Cales Fonts, for a fantastic dinner at one of the most charming places of the island? ... Among the varied attractions that this beautiful area offers, we also offer the possibility of renting a mooring for our customers' boats .
The interior layout of VILLA MIRANDA offers a high level of comfort, with the sleeping area on the ground floor including four large double bedrooms with two large wardrobes (offering the possibility of installing 2 cots or extra beds) and two spacious elegant bathrooms. On the top floor (which is accessed from the street) we find a toilet, a modern fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious and bright living room with large windows, both with access to the large covered terrace with panoramic views over the harbour .
But if the interiors of VILLA MIRANDA are already an incentive in themselves, the villa's joyful exterior areas are magnificent, including a second terrace by the pool, very private and tastefully equipped with sofas and chairs for relaxing moments and a ping-pong table, next to a wooden teak solarium, which surrounds the pool. From there we access a splendid mature garden of 400 m2, a very rare luxury on the island, with a variety of trees, ornamental plants and shaded areas and a great brick barbecue with a charming summer dining area under a nightstand, a dreamy place for night summer evening dinners, while the children play around in complete safety. But we still have a third and large sun terrace on the roof top, offering unforgettable views over the entrance of the Port, the old town area of Mahon and the open sea, next to the nearby beach of Sa Mesquida.
VILLA MIRANDA's strategic situation offers all the attractions for a comfortable and pleasant stay: a well equipped supermarket is located only 2 minutes drive away, while at 3 minutes drive we find one of the best restaurants on the island to order fish, Cap Roig, literally hanging over a cliff with wonderful views over Cala Mesquida, one of our favorite beaches and among the most beautiful on the island.
Ideal starting point for numerous excursions, the proximity to Mahon (10 minutes by car or water taxi) certainly offers an endless array of exciting possibilities. The bustling Costa de Ses Voltes with stairs leading down to the harbour, the Fish Market, Santa Maria Cathedral, the Cloister of Carmen converted in a lively market, the Sant Francesc Convent where the Museum of Menorca is located ... ... There is much to see and many squares and streets through which to lose yourself in this charming city. Hanging on the cliff, The whole of Maó overlooks its harbour from their viewpoints: small english sash windows through which its liberal illustrated past looms, decadent neoclassical palaces, traditional markets, in contrast to the yachts anchored in front of the Maritime Club. The Port at dusk is the counterpoint to the tranquility of the island, offering a lively activity with its dozens of Street cafes and restaurants, trendy shops and refined craftsmanship, with a friendly and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Located on the north bank of the Port of Mahon, Cala Llonga is the most exclusive area of Menorca, hosting some of the most spectacular properties on the island. Its splendid views of the harbour and the city of Mahon, its southwest orientation that guarantees sun all day long, and its quiet and exclusive atmosphere, are just some of its incentives: several pontoons distributed along its coastline allow boat owners to enjoy an exceptionally safe mooring or anchor without difficulty in the inlet areas, with an easy access to the harbour entrance. Let the hours go by witnessing the daily spectacle of the entrance and exit of of recreational yachts, small 'llauts' or large cruise ships is one of the relaxing activities that our customers will enjoy.
Added to this is the property's strategic location; only 5 minutes drive from all the artistic and cultural attractions of the picturesque harbour of Mahon and the cosmopolitan atmosphere of its port, the longest of the Mediterranean, full of selected craft boutiques, terraces and restaurants, Cala Llonga also has in its surrounding areas one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Cala Mesquida (3 minute drive), and is a perfect base for exploring the island, both towards the north (Fornells, Golf Club Son Parc, Cala Pregonda) as towards the bays of the lovely South Coast (Binibeca, Binisafua, Binidali, Punta Prima, etc.), all within 20/30 minutes drive.
The area surrounding Cala Llonga is ideal for hiking or horseback riding: the rough and rugged coastal paths reach a considerable height, which offers walkers and riders excellent views of the entire island over the sea, and the possibility to reach some of the most picturesque and stunning places in southern Menorca, including the British Fort of San Felipe, or the spectacular Fortress of La Mola, a XIX century military stronghold just 3 minutes drive from Cala Llonga. The nearby Natural Reserve of S'Albufera d'Es Grau is also a great place to spend the day enjoying the beach, watching the birds that inhabit the park, the wonderful views and typical tavernas with fresh fish.
But there are many more pleasurable activities to enjoy an authentic Menorcan experience while staying in Cala Llonga: for example, take a water taxi to cross over to the north side of harbor, and enjoy an unforgettable dinner in one of the most charming places of the island, the harbour of Cales Fons in Es Castell.
