The Bothy provides a unique and private location within the walls of Warslow Hall. The grounds provide outstanding walks via meandering paths and both formal and rustic bridges. that captivate the natural beauty of the woodlands and ponds that are connected by a series of cascading waterfalls. In particular during the months of May and June the rhododendrons are in full bloom and a spectacular sight. The Hall is situated between the higher reaches of the River Dove and Manifold Valley, the valleys providing access to both the White Peak and High Peak areas of the Peak District National Park. The historic market towns of Buxton, Leek, Bakewell, Matlock and Ashbourne are in easy reach. The magnificent Chatsworth House and gardens, Tissington Hall, Kedleston Hall and Haddon Hall are just a short drive. The picturesque villages of Hartington and Longnor are close by.

In addition to great location- everything we needed, cosy, great bed.
Beautiful cosy place for 2 set in the wooded grounds of Warslow Hall
The Bothy is very comfortable for a couple on a short or long break in the area. We were here in November and the stove plus the heating made the place toasty to come home to. Warslow Hall is easy to find as it is marked on the OS map.
Lovely to have the freedom to roam around the grounds of the hall with the river manifold flowing through. Near to shops in Hartington so we dudnt see the inside of a supermarket all stay.
Went to the Christmas market at Haddon Hall ( 30 mins) and also to Dovedale Ilam and Tissington
If we had been out walking it might have been nice to have a washing machine but didn’t spoil our stay.
We may well be back !
Our visit in November 2018
The Bothy is wonderful and welcoming but to find it in the dark was a challenge. Would recommend an illuminated sign at the end of the driveway or advise people to arrive in the daylight if possible.
It was also really tricky to read the directions in the dark as they were printed on an off-white background which made reading them an unnecessarily greater problem.
Constructive comments are always important to us so thank you for highlighting them, the points you have made have not been raised before so we will endeavour to look into them to improve our service, thank you.
Warm, cosy cottage in stunning surroundings
The Bothy was perfect for what we were looking for. On a very chilly (& snowy at one point) weekend in October the cottage was cosy and warm. The grounds of Warslow Hall are simply gorgeous and the surrounding villages are full of Derbyshire character- especially Alstonefield and Hartington. Comes highly recommended.
Thank you for your kind words about The Bothy and its grounds, we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay we do hope to see you again.
Perfect in every way, not really more that I can add.
The perfect get away
We really loved our few days here. The location was fabulous, really quiet, a beautiful setting in a well maintained manor setting. The place was spotless, fresh baking, flowers and people very helpful. We'll be going back.
Thank you for your wonderful review we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay, All of us at Warslow Hall do hope to see you again.
