Lovely cottage
The cottage had everything we needed for our stay including plasters for a blister one of my children got. There is loads to do near by. You have to get used to the narrow roads that last a few miles in and out of the village. We were there the end of October and it did rain a lot but when the sun came out it was lovely. The owners were very helpful at the end of our stay and I would recommend staying in this cottage.

Beautiful Location
Really large spacious house. Three bedrooms on one side, and one bedroom and bathroom on the other so good to separate if needed. Kitchen was really large and really well equipped! Beds were lovely and comfy and bed linen was great quality so everyone had a great nights sleep. The only let down was the living room, the sofas really do need replacing as it didn’t feel comfortable to relax in there.

Superb cottage
We greatly enjoyed our stay in this cottage, one of the best that we have stayed in! The property was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and welcoming. It's very well equipped with everything one could need and well maintained. There were plenty of great trips a little drive away with some beautiful walks and beaches that we greatly enjoyed. We highly recommend staying here! Thank you for providing us with such a lovely stay ☺

Lovely break in Wales
We had a brilliant week staying at Woodbine cottage despite being unlucky with the weather. The location is beautiful and quiet, with plenty to do in the surrounding areas if you are willing to do a bit of driving - coasteering, zip world, gorgeous walks, beaches and plenty more. The cottage layout is ideal and accommodated two families of 4 comfortably. We enjoyed visiting pubs and/or playing board games in the evenings. Friendly host and great communication.

We let out our holiday home to others so they can enjoy Wales as much as we do. We seek to make sure our cottage is very well equipped and very comfortable for their stays and help our guests as much as possible with suggestions for what to do and where to eat (we have a long list we provide to all guests). We are always happy to communicate by phone and on text to help guests with any questions they might have when staying at the property. We have always had very consistent top ratings from our guests.

Why they chose this property

Woodbine is our family holiday home which we bought many years ago in this quiet village in the hills as it was close to fishing on the River Towy and River Cothi. There is a lovely footpath walk behind the cottage which goes to the top of the hill behind and from the top you get amazing panoramic views over miles and miles of beautiful unspoilt countryside. There is a beautiful village church with regular services, half in Welsh and half in English. And next door is the village pub, Penybont Inn.The cottage is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of city or town life - it is very peaceful, with only the sounds or sheep or cattle the other side of the valley.

What makes this property unique

The property has been renovated with a new kitchen and bedroom extension.
The cottage is a great base to explore Wales in all directions into the Brechfa Forest for mountain biking and walks or gold mine, the beaches to the south west and the market towns of Llandeilo and Carmarthen and fishing on the Towy and Cothi or the multiple castles in the area. And then return to the peace and quiet of this lovely village.
