Life is always better in flip flops! True Florida style built originally in the early 50's with terrazzo floors throughout. Kitchen is fully equipped and there is a backyard grill. Dine inside or on the large screened in porch overlooking huge, tropical fenced yard. Great for a family with 2 bedrooms 1 bath on one side of the house and 1 bedroom 1 bath on the other. Walk to the end of the block to the beach or if you need to take a lot of stuff, pack up the car and use beach parking pass for Palm Beach Shores.

Fully equipped kitchen, all linens, beach chairs, cable tv, wifi, and one car enclosed garage. Plenty of closets and space for storage. Full sized Washer and dryer in garage.

This house has been in our family since 1988. We know and love Singer Island. We have lived in our house on the other side of Singer Island since our daughter was born in 1987.

Why Joan M. Smith chose Palm Beach Shores

We love the little beach community of Palm Beach Shores. The Sandal Lane beach cottage was first purchased by our parents in 1988 from the original owner who started building it in 1949. It has now been passed down to us and we plan to keep it in the family.

What makes this house unique

It is hard to find a little beach community like this. In the late 40's, the developer had the foresight to make a walkway through the entire town running north and south. You can walk to the inlet and watch the gorgeous boats come and go. The walk takes you past the town hall with its own police and fire department. Along the way there are beautiful native trees, benches, and other friendly walkers. This neighborhood is truly a slice of old Florida.

Paradise

Our first stay in this area, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The “Beach House” fulfilled our every need and desire. From a well-stocked kitchen, to every amenity that one could possibly want, Joan and Larry have provided. If we had any questions, Joan was always got back with a quick reply. We could not have improved on the location - perfectly located between the ocean, the intercostal, and the cut-through canal, it was paradise. Hopefully, we will get a chance to return in the future.

Quiet, comfortable, and close to the water

My wife and I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect location for a two month stay. This property is close to everything that defines a south Florida vacation. The Atlantic is a short walk away, I95 and the Florida Turnpike are easily accessible, and there are numerous restaurants, from fast food to fine dining, close by. Every water activity I can think of, from scuba diving to boating, are minutes away. The great John D. McCarthur state park is five minutes away, with kayaking, nature walks and wildlife talks most days, and car shows and music on weekends.

The house itself is a delightful, mid-century Florida beach house. It’s very comfortable, quiet, and nicely furnished and landscaped. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog. The house is thoroughly and thoughtfully stocked with all the comforts of home, from towels and linens to kitchen utensils. If I baked I could have baked a cake, and I never lacked for specific tools I needed to cook a gourmet meal. The kitchen is surprisingly well equipped!

The best surprise though was Joan, our gracious host. She was very responsive and attentive, but never intruded on our privacy. On the few occasions we needed her help or had a question she got back to us within the hour. When the Keurig coffee maker died, she replaced it the next day.

I highly recommend this property!

Great Palm Beach Get Away!

We loved the home! The house was immaculate, and it had every amenity you would want for a vacation. It has a large screened in porch where you can enjoy the breeze, hear the waves and relax! Joan the owner checked in by text to be sure we had all we needed, she was extremely responsive. The location is great - 1 block to the beaches, bars, good restaurants, and shops. Access to a Publix for groceries was just over the bridge. We also charted fishing from Phil Foster State park just a walk away. We highly recommend it and hope to come again.

GREAT HOME AWAY FROM HOME!!

We stayed in the "Beach House" and it was wonderful! The house is definitely as advertised and more. Everything we needed was there. We were impressed with how well the kitchen was furnished with all the tools one needs to prepare meals at home. The huge screened in porch made for a great spot for morning coffee or a glass on wine in the evening. If we wanted to just hang around the house the backyard was perfect.

The location was great; two beaches within a couple of blocks and at least 5 restaurants, two having evening entertainment within walking distance. If you don't want to venture away, you can just park the car for the duration of your vacation. The owners were definitely available if we had any questions. Without a doubt we would return to the "Beach House."

Great Vacation Home!

This is a great home in a great location. It was our first year doing the "snowbird" thing, and we could not have picked a better rental. The house was clean, comfortably furnished, and had everything we needed. It made the move in, and move out process very easy. Great screened in porch, and fenced in, very private back yard, which is great for small dogs. Our dog Harvey just loved it. The location is great, being a 5 minute walk to the beach, and several restaurants, and 10 minute walk to Sailfish Marina/Restaurant. The town of Palm Beach Shores is quiet, residential, and charming. Very "walkable", with a walking path through the town to the Inlet. We rented from Joan and Larry from January for 3 months, and if we do this again, it will be our first choice. Joan and Larry were very responsive to any questions or requests we had.

Home away from home

As soon as we pulled up to the house we knew it was going to be the vacation we wanted.

Super clean house with All the amenities, Did not need a thing

Joan and Larry were gracious hosts anytime I called , they answered

Our dog had a wonderful vacation as well! Great walks around the island, we could even take her to the restaurants

The house has a beautiful yard ,in which she investigated every inch,..she's a beagle 😊

The town and the people are welcoming , even went to the Town tree lighting ceremony!

We stayed 2 blissful weeks and look forward to coming back

If you have a car , that's good

But if you don't ,.. Not needed .. The island has it all

Every Thursday night during the winter there is a craft show featuring music, food, and crafts at the Sailfish Marina just down the street. Take a morning walk through the neighborhood to the inlet. Visit John D. McArthur State Park located on the island for a nature walk or enjoy the beach. Water taxis offer tours of the waters or transportation to Peanut Island just off Singer Island. Though you may never tire of the wide pristine beaches, there are many nearby attractions. Visit the Norton Museum of Art, the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Palm Beach Zoo, or Lion Country Safari just to name a few. Take the kids to the nearby Rapids Water Park, visit Clematis Street and CityPlace in downtown West Palm Beach, check out Downtown at the Gardens, Palm Beach Outlets, and the upscale Gardens Mall. Stroll the famous Palm Beach Worth Avenue or take a tour on the DivaDuck Amphibious Tours. There are art festivals, food and wine festivals, and holiday festivals. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance on Singer Island but hundreds of others within a short distance. Check it all out on the internet!
