I live right around the corner and i'm available to help you however i can. I look forward to sharing my favorite nyc places with you.
It's a breath of fresh air after spending a crazy tiring day in the city. You'll come home to quiet streets, people walking dogs, neighbors chatting with neighbors and families out for a stroll. We are so close to manhattan, and if you could fly, you'd be there in 3km's. But you have to go through the tunnel, so it takes about 10 minutes, could be a bit longer in times of heavy traffic. Buses run every 5 minutes, you will never wait longer than this.
Super convenient. 24/7 bus stop is less than 2 blocks away, and easy to walk home at any time of the night. You will have detailed info on how to get in/out of the city. I provide an info binder in the apartment.
This is a very low crime area, it's filled with families and people who live in weehawken and likely work in the city. It's a great place!
I have another listing across the street, and another around the corner. If you're lost, just ask for maria, everyone knows me.
There is a great store on the corner where you can get a yummy bacon and egg sandwich in the morning, and another store where you can get a six pack of beer at 9pm. Lots of small restaurants nearby.
I live very close by, and i will be very happy to help you plan your itinerary. I am available on viber, what's app, by text or email to help you with whatever i can.
This is a quiet neighborhood near one of the major traffic arteries into manhattan. We're a few blocks from the lincoln tunnel, but far enough away that you can rest comfortably without having crazy city noise to deal with. Spending the day in nyc is so much fun, but it's also fun to have a relaxing place to rest so that you can tackle touring again the next day!
About transportation: believe it or not – it is possible to be outside of manhattan and so close to it, yet it's true. Here are some facts about transportation:
1. Apartment is 2 minutes (3 blocks) walking from the park avenue bus stop.
2. The jitney bus is very frequent, i rarely wait for it more than 2 to 3 minutes. Most of the time you won't even wait at all. You will get to the bus stop and a bus will be there.
3. Buses are available 24/7 so you can catch them even when you spend the whole evening out.
4. The price of these express buses is $3 onboard, and for one bus in particular (gate 51) Please note that if you buy tickets for this bus, you can only use the tickets for this bus, not on the 'all night' buses.
5. You won't find a timetable or route on the internet for these buses, it's a private bus company that runs many lines in and out of manhattan. You can look on wiki under 'spanish transportation' if you're interested in the history of this private service.
6. Njtransit #22 runs every 30 minutes into hoboken, home of the cake boss, birthplace of frank sinatra and baseball (where you can also catch the path into manhattan 33rd street and/or the world trade center) and njtransit #123 every 15-30 minutes (during commute hours) into manhattan’s port authority (42nd street & 8th avenue – times square)
* easy city bus access to jersey garden outlet mall, much closer and as good as woodbury commons.
We are also close to hoboken, weehawken and jersey city.
This is one of four apartments in this building. There are two doors to the apartment, and we ask that you use the back entrance door. The front entrance door has a deadbolt from inside, so you can easily use this door in case of emergency.
To indicate that you have read the entire description including house rules, please reply back with the words 'de blasio' in the inquiry to me.
I'm happy to help you find a great show to see, a fantastic restaurant for a special celebration or a great new york gift for your granny. I live in the neighborhood so you can always reach me by stopping by or by phone or email.
I love to see people walking their dogs, kids playing outside and the way the light changes the view of the city from our side. You'll never get tired of listening to the great jersey accent.
You'll be able to walk home from the bus and feel comfortable whether you are a single female traveler or a group of wrestlers - the streets are well lit, the buses run all day and all night and everyone is friendly and helpful.
The 24/7 bus picks up and drops off two blocks away, and the buses go to one place only - near times square. There is literally no way to get lost if you are taking a bus that is traveling east.
This apartment is in a quiet residential building with people who work in the city. Everyone appreciates their restful nights sleep, so please keep that in mind.
All guests must be counted - babies, kids, toddlers included.
I wanted a quiet place but close to the craziness of NYC to meet my bone marrow donor from Germany. Maria was so helpful in setting up this stay that has been in the making for 2 years. We stayed Dec 30, 2016 through January 5, 2017. Maria made sure that we had two sets of keys so each of us could come and go as we pleased. We only walked to the bus stop once as they would see us and stop to pick us up before we made it there. Mind you, the bus stop is a VERY short distance, the drivers were great. I agree with Maria, ALWAYS yell PARK AVE on the trip back though so they stop. It's the FIRST stop into NJ and you definitely don't want to miss it! We did a lot of recommendations from Maria from shopping areas, corner/convenient stores, restaurants and sight seeing. I had purchased CROWN tickets to the Statute of Liberty months in advance because you WILL NOT get them by waiting until you are there. I had also became a member of the 9/11 Museum which allowed me & my husband PLUS 2 guests free and discounts at the store along with free audio headsets with no line waiting. Definitely the way to go. Instead if Times Square craziness, we bypassed it and went to THE MIDNIGHT RUN at Central Park. We had 2 runners which could bring one guest each. Plus, it's the only place that allow fireworks on NYE. FUN. (Especially for just $60 for 4 people). Maria's advise on flying into Newark International couldn't have been better. We signed up on Uber and hardly costs us anything. It took us less than 20 minutes to get to our apartment and avoided all traffic and hassle. Rides into the city at $3 took about 10 minutes and you can go anywhere in NYC by subway or bus for a 7-day unlimited Metro Card for $31. Well worth it!
The apartment was great! It was clean, had plenty of towels, linens & bedding. We stocked staples in the refrigerator which allowed us to save plenty on food/eating out. I HIGHLY recommend CHARRITO'S in Union City ($6 Uber ride for 4). It's a great Mexican restaurant on the water that has an AWESOME view of the NYC skyline. The food and service were excellent! Don't forget to sign the boards that Maria has on the wall in the apartment. We were amazed at all the countries that people have come from and stayed at this apartment. Very cool idea and ad your own touch. I will definitely recommend this place to friends. The neighborhood is wonderful and so were the people!
Nice appartment, plenty of room for five people, the location is amazing for relaxing after a long day in town. The transport to NY centre is amazing, small buses driving all the time, never had to wait for more than 30 seconds, usualy stepped right on one when we reached the crossing that is 2 minutes from the appartment. Lots of towels and other things to make you feel at home. Would stay there again :-)
We had a great stay at Maria's house in NJ. The house was really clean and it was the perfect size for us and our two kids. It was very kid friendly and they loved the twin beds in their room. It was easy to get to the city - we just took an uber to the train and were downtown within 20 min. We would for sure stay here again!
We have never been to NY before and we booked this not knowing if it was a good idea. The location is perfect for going into Manhattan, take the local bus and get off at the Port Authority Bus Terminal and you can go anywhere easily. We should have just followed Maria's instructions for getting to the house, if we had we wouldn't have got lost the first time. Once we had our bearings we couldn't have asked for a better location. It is in a nice residential neighborhood with easy access to groceries and transportation.
The space was large enough for 5 women to comfortably share, I was expecting a much smaller place and was pleasantly surprised by how large it was. I would definitely stay here again.
This apartment was a wonderful find for our family. Our daughter was getting married in New York and we wanted to stay close to her home in Weehawken. Beautifully done out apartment and immaculate throughout. Location was great. Bus stop two minutes walk away for a ten minute bus journey right into Central Manhatten. Corner shop at the end of the street where u can buy your morning breakfast rolls. The street the apartment is on is nice with lovely friendly local residents. Maria who I did all the bookings with was first class, even arranged for the pavement and road outside the apartment to be clear of snow for my daughters wedding day. (This was the week of the big snowstorms in New York) Even though the temp outside was -25 the apartment was so warm with the great central heating system. Why stay in busy Manhatten when an apartment so nice as this is available a short bus ride away. We are heading back to New York later this year and hope to book with Maria again. She is the perfect host.
Spectacular Manhattan skyline views from Hamilton Park, a 10 min walk away.
