Built in 2001, our apartment has brand new furniture and bedding in a clean, eclectic style. One flight up, it's an airy and sun-filled space with bamboo floors and original artwork. Your carpeted Master Bedroom includes a queen-size bed, a desk/vanity and plenty of storage, including a walk-in closet. There's a full kitchen, bath, and a large living/dining room area. There's a twin-size Murphy Bed in the Living Room and a couch that converts to a sleeper if all three guests want their own bed. There is a large, common backyard that you have access to. The kitchen has a large fridge, stove, microwave, toaster and coffee maker; pots/pans, dishes and cutlery. The full bath with tub and fluffy towels has two large cabinets for toiletries. The bedroom's TV has a DVD player and the living room has a Smart TV with a Netfilx account for guests. There's free Cable and Wi-Fi. The F Train is only 2 blocks away, which will get you to midtown in under 20 minutes. The M-14 bus is just as close. It goes up Avenue A in the East Village and then crosses to the West Village and Chelsea at 14th Street. You could also use the citi-bike rentals in the next block to explore the East Village, The Lower East Side or cross town to the West Village and SoHo in about 15 minutes.
Tannin and his wife and infant daughter were the perfect guests. They communicated all of their plans well and even left some gifts for our next guests! They followed all of our guidelines and were very pleasant to deal with. We definitely want to host them again!
I stayed at this apartment for a month with two of my friends. We came in not really knowing what to expect but Robin, the owner, showed us around and was very friendly. The place was very clean and he had even bought us some starter groceries until we could get to the store! The bed was very comfortable to sleep in and it was nice that we could lay in bed and watch tv or Netflix. The place was more like a home than some place we rented from someone else. It was in such a great neighborhood with lots of things to do during the day or things to do at night as well. I would recommend this place to anyone! It's located in the lower east side of Manhattan and I don't think you could get much better than this place and location! We were all three college students who were up there to take a class over the month of May, so since we are students we all know price is an issue but for all the things I stated and more it was worth it! Like I said before I highly recommend it!
My wife, 6 month old baby and I stayed here for 5 months while I was on sabbatical at NYU. Clean place, spacious, laundry, in a great and safe neighbourhood in Lower East Side. Kitchen is stocked with all that you will need, as well as extra futon for guests. Wonderful land lord, very nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to all our friends!
