Fully refurbished two bedroom apartment situation close to Oddicombe beach.

This stylish, totally refurbished apartment with enclosed, private garden is in an outstanding location, situated in the centre of the quaint and traditional town of St Marychurch, Torbay, with its butchers, greengrocers, bakeries and coffee shops quite literally on your doorstep. They receive daily delivers of fresh produce which makes this such a unique place, you may hear the local van arriving at the start of the day - it almost feels like being abroad! Below the apartment is Garry Toms Pain Specialist Pain Clinic.

The apartment has been totally refurbished from a cottage dating back over 300 years. The main area of the apartment is open plan - lounge, kitchen, diner. The master bedroom at the front has an en-suite shower, the second bedroom has bunk beds with a family bathroom separating the two bedrooms. The garden is an enclosed patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment.

Torbay is made up of three towns Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. You are minutes from the beautiful Babbacombe Downs with it's stunning beach, cliff top railway, bars and eateries – It is in a great situation as less than an hour away is Dartmouth, Totnes, Kingsbridge and Salcombe. Torquay is on a peninsula so we have award winning beaches surrounding us.

The English Rivera boasts 20 beaches and coves to explore. There is a famous 20 mile coastal path. There are many events and festivals throughout the year held in Torquay and Torbay. Torbay has two theatres: the Princess theatre and Babbacombe theatre.

The beautiful Oddicombe & Babbacombe beach with its clean sands and ocean views are both within walking distance from the apartment (6 minutes) or a short drive in the car. Here you can enjoy the clifftop railway and the recently built Babbacombe beach bar and a range of watersports. Babbacombe is famous for its model village and a visit to Kents Cavern (only a short drive away) is a real must!

The famous English Riviera - Torquay is only a five minute drive, here you can enjoy the shops, restuarants, extensive sandy beach and the exclusive Torquay Marina. If you enjoy watching penguins waddling and seals diving then the Living Coasts Centre is worth a visit - don't forget your camera! You may also like to make use of the Torquay Riviera Centre which offers a range of sports and fun pool for those days when the sun isn't shining. You may wish to leave the car and use the regular bus service which passes through Babbacombe and on to a variety of local areas. You will also have an opportunity to view the area from the open top bus trips or if you don't have a fear of heights, then why not take a relaxing ride on the Torquay wheel!(summer months only)

If you are feeling energetic and enjoy walking, there is the South West Coastal path from the end of Babbacombe Beach along the headland and in to Torquay - allow a couple of hours to complete, then why not finish the day with a boat trip around the bay, across to Brixham or if there's enough time why not venture by boat to Dartmouth.

At the beginning of my career I worked with many sporting associations, from The New Zealand cricket team on one of their UK tours, British athletic meetings & the UK, Russian & American Gladiators TV show.

My wife is a Deputy Director of a Teaching School Alliance, she has fifteen years experience in the Education sector. Prior to her current role, Lisa was a full-time secondary school Deputy Headteacher. Lisa now works part time alongside managing the holiday appartment.

We both enjoy relaxing on our boat, keeping fit, mountain biking and heading out for walks on the Quantock hills

We have our own motor boat on Torquay marina and this is where we spend much of our time, floating on the water, enjoying the sunshine and watching the world go by. We have always loved Torquay and took the opportunity to buy in 2015 in this beautiful sought after area - in the heart of the cobbled pedestrian area of St Marychurch. With views of the stunning church from the back garden and quaint, traditional shops within a stones throw, not to mention the beach close by ... what more could we ask for!

Lovely apartment, a home from home!

This is a beautifully presented apartment, great character and perfect for our stay. Having family in the area this was a great base for us. The apartment is in a convenient location for shops, cafes, bakery, the downs or walking down into the harbour / town. The owners are very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely recommend staying here and we will absolutely, without question, book again next time we are visiting.

Clean, well appointed apartment very close to the local amenities.

We had a lovely stay at Mariners Cottage. Communication with the owners was easy and they kept in touch throughout the stay to make sure we were happy. The apartment was very clean and has recently been refurbished to a very good standard. There were basics left for us to get started such as a few teabags and a pint of milk. The apartment overlooked the quaint high street on St Marychurch and there were plenty of shops nearby including a grocery store opposite and plenty of cafes and bakeries etc along the street. There is also a large co-op and Sainsbury’s with a 5 min walk which came in handy on the Sunday when the smaller shops were shut. Everything was very close by and if you haven’t got transport then the local bus stop was only a few minutes walk away. All in all, we had a lovely weekend away with our 14 month old daughter and would highly recommend the apartment. We would definitely rebook if we stayed in Torquay area again. Thank you

Nicely refurbished comfortable cottage

Tasteful refurbishment gives a homely feel to the place. The property is spotlessly clean and well maintained. A modern open plan kitchen dining area gives ample space to take time out and relax after days out. Located in the heart of Saint Mary Church precinct everything is on the doorstep. Shops, Cafes, bistro, butchers, newsagents, pubs abound within easy walking distance. A 10 minute walk takes you onto Babbacombe Downs with access to hotel bars and a fish restaurant. If you feel up to it a moderate walk will take you on the coastal path to Torquay harbour and you can catch a bus back with ease (No. 22 from outside Debenhams)

Sehr schöne, ruhige Wohnung

Wir (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) waren fast zwei Wochen in Devon und haben den Urlaub dort sehr genossen - die Wohnung in St. Marychurch war für uns ideal. Sie ist sehr freundlich und modern eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet und liegt ruhig in einer kleinen Fußgängerzone. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe und zum Strand ist man zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten. Wir haben viele Ausflüge gemacht (innerhalb von Devon und bis nach Cornwall) und dafür war St. Marychurch der ideale Ausgangspunkt. Für unser Auto konnten wir den Parkplatz der Wohnung direkt hinter dem Haus nutzen und auch mit dem Bus kommt man gut weiter (Bushaltestellen sind zu Fuß gut erreichbar).

Die Kommunikation mit den Besitzern funktionierte bestens. Wir waren sehr froh, dass wir uns für diese Wohnung etwas außerhalb von Torquay selbst entschieden hatten und können sie besten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

Beautiful apartment

Beautiful and immaculate apartment, very comfortable and fully equipped. Great location, very handy local shops on the doorstep and within walking distance to 2 beaches and short car/bus ride into Torquay. Also Painton only a short drive, Painton zoo well worth a visit.

Great communication from Lisa and Garry, wonderful introduction to Devon as it was our 1st time. Loved it
