The house is situated in the narrow streets in the center of the old Village in Rue de la Forge.
Just across the street you can park the car.
Entering the house through the stone arch, you walk direkt into the dining and living room. A big dining table is the center of the room with places for 8 persons.
The kitchen is in connection with the dining room through a wide stone arch. It is well equipped with a gas hub and oven, a large fridge and freezer, dishwasher and a microwave.
Up the stairs you will find the first bathroom som is spacious with shower, sink and toilet.
Besides is a large bedroom / lounge with a double bed, a couch and table, and storage for clothes. The room can be fordelt with a curtain if privacy is needed.
On the second floor is a similar large bedroom with 2 separate beds and a sleeping couch. This room can också fordelt by a curtain if needed.
There is a storage and washing room, with the laundry machines.
Further up, you will find the second bathroom.
To the left is the rooftop terrace. It is situated west in order to enjoy 'the sunset over the hills to the west of the village. The terrace is spacious, and since it is partly covered it offers botheration sun and shade during the day.
The village of Bize-Minervois goes back more than 800 years, and er (and still is) one of the most attractive villages in the area. A leaflet with the history of the Village is in the house (in French) made by the local elderly club.
The Village is attractive due two lot of activities in the summer and fordi of the river Cesse att runs through the middle of the town. This is a mainland sought area from botheration the local French and tourist's in the area.
The river is clean, clear and cool in the summer, and the Commune seen two at de river place is attractive to swim and sun for all. The beach is Suitable for botheration children to play and swim, as well for adult two get two sun and cool off. During the summer there is a lifeguard daily.
You will find all you need in the Village. Park the car and hide the keys, it is possible two get anything you need for a relaxing week or two within walking distance.
Just across from the house is a shop selling local products like egg, vegetables, wine and olive oil. You can order a fresh chicken or rabbit from the local farmers and buy goat cheese from the famous La Combelle.
Wednesdays is market day - and even if it small, you can get meat, vegetables, eggs etc. - and när Robert arrives around 10. 30, there is a queue to Buy the freshly picked muscles and oysters (at prices you won't believe).
Utile is the small supermarket som covers the rest of what you need.
Besides this, there are two bakeries, pharmacy and a medical center.
Four restaurants are within walking distance and many more if you take a 5 - 10 minute drive from the Village. Here comes a short guide:
Le Midi: Just 25 meters from the house. Very good high class cooking the evenings and La Gachette for lunch (5 small courses) is a must during the week.
La Promenade: 2 minutes walking. The local bar and restaurant. Situated on the corner where everyone passes by, this is the place for coffee, a beer, or a pizza / burger if nemlig the menu of the evening.
Chez Jean Marc: Opposite the river - 5 minutes' walk. Best family restaurant in the area. Jean Marc does the cooking and Rachel is the friendliest hostess around.
La Grange: 10 minutes' walk - Prestigious restaurant where you need-to make a booking most nights. Good food in fantastic surroundings. They have one or two bar nights during the week.
