Maison de Pieusse is a 3 bedroom villa enjoying a stunning location about 2 km from the market town of Limoux. There are countryside views on all sides of the property but the setting although tranquil is close to amenities such as a large supermarket and bakeries less than 2 km away. The village itself contains a well regarded restaurant and many more facilities are found in Limoux and slightly further afield in Carcassonne where a visit to the medieval city is a must. Further exploring opportunities abound including trips to Toulouse, the beach or up into the mountains whichever might take your fancy.

The property itself is well equipped as a home from home. There are 3 bedrooms and additional sleeping accommodation on the mezzanine floor. From the balcony off the Master Bedroom fabulous sunsets can be viewed while enjoying a glass of the local blanquette. Further outdoor relaxation is possible on the upper and lower terraces where alfresco dining under a moonlit sky adds to the enjoyment of a visit here. A covered verandah offers further seating in relaxed surroundings.

Should the weather not be kind indoor relaxation is also on offer. The lounge has comfy seating in front of the TV or DVD or listening to music on the music tower. There is a conservatory with seating for 6 and for breakfast or aperitifs the breakfast bar is most inviting. Formal dining is available with seating up to 8 and there is alternative dining facilities in the summer kitchen. In short plenty of opportunities to eat and drink and entertain guests.

The main kitchen and summer kitchen are newly installed with new appliances and the bathrooms although traditional french in character have been refurbished to add to the modern amenities. An abundance of wood gives a traditional feel to the house and there is a feature fireplace with log burning stove for colder days.

For those wanting to take some exercise a table tennis table is set up in the spacious garage. Bikes are available and the route into Limoux is part dedicated cycle route. There are numerous places to walk or run and municipal facilities for indoor and outdoor swimming and tennis are within 30 minutes drive.

During 2016 a brand new swimming pool was installed next to the upper terrace. The pool is 9 metres by 4 metres which is large enough for enthusiastic swimmers to enjoy a few lengths or leisure swimmers to splash around there is now a pool heater installed for use during off peak bookings in season

Spacious holiday house with beautiful pool under the Southern French sun

We spent a wonderful holiday under the French sun in this spacious and well equipped house, visiting medieval sites in the neighbourhood and spending time near the big beautiful swimming pool. We enjoyed the rural environment, though shops and supermarkets were only a stone's throw away. This house offers anything to make a holiday succeed.

Super maison

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison: elle est grande, pratique, très moderne pour certains aspects (cuisine, mobiliers de jardin, lave linge, etc). Elle est très bien entretenue tout comme le materiel (vélos, table de Ping-Pong, etc.). Le jardin est spacieux et rempli d'arbres fruitiers. La piscine: les enfants l'ont adorée.

Notre seul bémol: l'accueil qui fut bref et sans explication... Toutefois, Dave et Marjorie qui nous ont accueillis (en l'absence des propriétaires) étaient charmants, disponibles et serviables...
